The song for today is “舊情復熾” by Alex To and Tracy Su. Not sure why but this song have been keep coming up in my head for the last couple of days. The direct English translation of the title is “Past love reignited”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. I will represent Alex’s line by “M:”, Tracy’s by “F:” and together “T:”. F: When I realised that the person next to me is not you, when I think that I wanted to leave this place; in love with the third person, no reason, how could I fall in love. M: When I thought of the taste of love, the only feeling is all about you. Unless I see you, then I will see myself. F: Past love reignited, M: Both of our feelings are the same. F: Other’s couldn’t imagined M: How could I imagined. F: love couldn’t get any more beautiful. T: You are the only one that admires me. The song for today is “等待黎明” by Alex To. The direct English translation of the title is “Waiting for Dawn”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. It said, it is getting dark, and there are no street light on the street. The protagonist is feeling lonely and he is walking toward the unknown by himself. The song that I chose for today is “擦身情緣” by Alex To. This song was popular back in 1990 when it first released. The direct English translation of the title is “Relationship that just passed by closely”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that his girlfriend said she felt it is a bit cold. When he turns around slowly, she hugged him tightly. He felt that he is floating in the sky, the warm feeling is flowing through him. He felt that they were connected through their eye contact, and at that moment a series of frame flash up in his mind. It is hard to control when we meet or depart in this world, but who would have thought that the two of them would meet up. He thought of the time when they first meet in the car, it was so fast that he was worry that he would go empty handed. The song that I chose for today is “准我” by Alex To. The direct English translation of the title is “Allow me”.

The lyrics of the song are about the pain from breakup. The protagonist said that he felt lost and he can’t explain it. He felt that he can’t find the focus point, and in this dizzy state, he is calling for her. He felt that he is empty when he face this breakup. He still wanted to know how she has been and whether she is happy with the other guy. If someone dump her or not nice to her, please allow him to come and hug her from the back. If someone loves her, giving her happiness, then please him stay on the side to wish her all the best and allow him to cry for her. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “一件錯事” by Alex To. I quite like the melody of the song. The direct translation of the title is “One wrong thing”.

This song is about love. At the beginning, the protagonist said that he was happy before she gave him a never ending story (I think this mean that she gave him hope that she will stay with him forever). But because of one thing that he did wrong (meeting another girl) had changed the whole story. He knows that it was stupid, but it was only once. He knows that it would be hard for her to accept it. She didn’t let him to go back to her. He wanted to know why she gave up on their happiness. He said that he was wrong, but she had already given up on him. He said please let him to think about why this happened for the rest of his life and trade all his happiness for this illusion. He doesn’t know where she would go from here, but he hope that everything will be well for her. Tonight in the news, it shows her being very sad, she gone into a forest and ended her life. One wrong thing, getting wrong once in his life, now it is too late for him to make up for it. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “准我再一次” by Alex To. Alex was very popular in the late 80’s and 90’s in Hong Kong. These days he is more active in China and Taiwan. I really don’t remember many of his songs, but this one is one of those that I got some memory of it. The direct English translation of the title is “Let me do it again”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. It starts off telling us that the protagonist asked to be forgiven to leave while they are still in love. He knows that neither of them wanted to say goodbye as neither of them wanted to be blamed. But he understands that their love has come to a dead end, and he is with a broken heart. Love could not be understood nor predicted. He said if in the future, her special one makes her feel unhappy, just remember that he will always be there for her.

The song is quite straight forward, it basically talk about a guy leaving his girlfriend when he still loves her because he knows that she got another boyfriend but don’t want to make the decision. So he decided to leave, but wishes that if one day they broke up, she will come back to him. Hope you will like the song.
