Today’s song is “Staying Alive” by Bee Gees. I have chosen this song because I heard in the news that Robin Gibb had just passed away. So in memory of Robin Gibb, I have chosen one of Bee Gees famous songs “Staying Alive”. R.I.P. Robin Gibb.

This song made for the movie “Saturday Night Fever”, a movie about disco. Personally, I haven’t seen the movie, but I have definitely heard of this song before.  I am not too sure what exactly the lyrics is referring to, but my interpretation is that it is about our life in the city, how everyone live in the city is like a living dead, life is going nowhere, we don’t know what we are doing, but yet everyone is carrying  the same routine day by day. Things happen very quickly in the city, and that it could also be forgotten very quickly. So I think the lyrics are referring to how we live our life in a big city. Hope you will enjoy the song.

Today’s song is “First of May” by Bee Gees. This song is chosen for today simply because today is the 1st of May.

I guess I don’t have to say too much about this song, as this is a very famous song by the Bee Gees. I think this song is about young love. The lyrics are so beautiful as well. Though just found out that this song was inspired by Barry Gibb’s first dog, it was arrived on the 1st of May. Anyway, hope you will enjoy the song for today.

First of May – Bee Gees
