The song for today is “劇情需要” by Leo Ku and Kary Ng. This was a song from the stage performance of 森美小儀歌劇團. The direct English translation of the title is “Needed by the plot”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. I will represent Kary’s line by “K:” and when they sing together “T:” (Leo doesn’t had any solo part in this song). K: Prince of the fairy-tale had been selected, if you found that you like me give me some reaction. Never denied, so the people that love us will be scared. So stop arguing and follow the plot. The grand setting on the stage, lost everything to your movement, facial reaction and your eyes. How many times did we have to fight to understand the value of love. No need to fight with you to dead to get excitement. In the past, we were like the two poles, but now you comfort me. We now both carry the role of lover. T: Not lying and not dodging, if I realised that I love you I will hug you. Between us, there are no acting, but there are feelings and we are not scare of death. We could get people to talk about our legend. The scene support our nerve, it is hard to suppress the feeling from the act. How many times did we have to fight to understand the value of love. No need to fight with you to dead to get excitement. In the past, we were like the two poles, but now you comfort me. We now both carry the role of lover. The song for today is “距離” by Kary Ng. This was a theme song for one of TVB’s drama. The direct English translation of the title is “Distance”.

The lyrics of the song are about how the protagonist tries to keep a distance between herself and the boy that she loves so that they can further their relationship. It said, memories is so heavy, there is no way that she could go against the flow. Perhaps after the untied the knot in her heart, she could loosen the burden. The same feeling, still couldn’t get rid of the heaviness in her heart. Like she is trapped, and just allowed the truth to bend. If she view it from this distance, then she could avoid being hurt. Even if she let go of this relationship, she still loves him. She will always care for him, like they are always in love. If she got him, she might not be able to remember forever. At the end, she will be dumped. Even if she loves him, she rather hide it. If they wanted to go further, they should keep a distance. Got him, but also lost him. But at least this relationship, no one could replace. Changing a method to deliver the love, perhaps it could be better. The love game, couldn’t hold onto it, just like air. The so call love, is to destroy the promises. At least, after changing the feeling, who would care how much you got. Who would have thought that if you leave this distance in between, you could remember the feeling. The more happy you got, in the future even if you are together, it would be much harder to avoid feeling board. If she got him, she might not be able to remember forever. The song that I picked for today is “馬戲團之戀” by Kary Ng. The direct English translation of the title is “Love of Circus”.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist trying to please her love. The protagonist tried to learn flower arrangement and make up, but she thinks that these are not enough to win him back. Perhaps she needs to perform in the circus, to jump through the fire loop for him. He said that she is too good to be true and he takes arguing as a game. He dislikes it when she hugs him. He like new things if they bring him excitement. He said that she is dumb and stupid, but she still relay on him. She decided to perform in the circus for him, to jump far away from the ground. To love him, she will hold back her anger. No matter what others said she will ignore them. Even if she dies from falling, she at least had died for him. It’s dangerous, but she is walking on the wire for him. She ignores what others said even being with him she will need to swallow a sword. Making the situation looks better is greater than thinking about it when it’s over. Regardless of what he thinks and how dangerous it is, she will perform, but at the end, he never admire her a single bit. She is used to waiting and accepting his torture. No matter how difficult it is, she still tries to fix up the relationship and to be his girlfriend. She can give up on all her friend and become a clown so that everyone could laugh at her. She will form a sad circus just for him. . It’s dangerous, but she is walking on the wire for him. She ignores what others said even being with him she will need to swallow a sword. Just let everyone laugh at her for being naïve. Making the situation looks better is greater than thinking about it when it’s over. He looks down at her, but she still work hard to perform. The song that I chose for today is “明知做戲” by Kary Ng. The direct English translation of the title is “Clearly know that it’s acting”.

The lyrics of the song are about a love relationship. The protagonist said that she added a thin ice to his coke when he drank half of it. She cleans his desk when it got all messy. She doesn’t want to be pure and she is not smart enough as he still hasn’t notice her yet. She is the only one that sorts his movies for him and she is the only one that helps him to buy the ringtone. Every day she guesses his mood, she tries to verify it with his eyes, but it shows like a shooting star. She wonders why she feels guilty of what she had done, is it like love, she is not sure. She thought it exists? It always changes, and she never confirm it with words, is it reliable? So please don’t stop her from loving him. It is love, but he never confirms it and just dodges. She can’t analyse him as he is too calm and she is worry that she got the wrong message. She knows that one day nice weather will arrive, and she will express her love, that way he can’t dodge but it would hurt him. She hate herself for thinking about that it would hurt him. Even if he didn’t care much and not surprise, if she wanted to express her love and ask him to prepare, would she still have the courage after this. Please don’t be scare, and she got the gut to give him flowers, crazy? So please don’t try to stop her from loving him. Please don’t try to stop her from carrying him, if she can make him happy, then let her do it and prepare for him. She like him being calm and confident. She will wait until a good day to express her love so that he doesn’t need to dodge and ignore others’ opinions. She is looking forward to hold his arm and stop acting. The song that I chose for today is “心跳無聲” by Kary Ng. This was a song from a stage drama. The direct English translation of the title is “Heart beat without sound”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that there are no sounds and each of them live their own life, but she wishes that the love god could at least blink his eyes. She can’t calm herself down. The sleeping dragonfly was awaked as it was too scared. So how could she pause her heart beat for her lover? Burn, it has no sound, but why it could wake up the person that she is dreaming of. He loves silence and calm, if he is passionate he would have walked a long distance to gaze at stars. They were already paired up before they were born. In this sea of people, he will swim with her, so now she thinks she could even hear the sound of flower blossom. Candle, is like stars; but why after blowing it out, we could better understand our love. Why are we scare to open our eyes, who would shine in fount of us.

You might feel a bit lost reading the lyrics. The drama that this song comes from was about a world where everything is restricted. So that’s why the protagonist is saying that they were paired before they were born. I think the very last line is referring to that she is worry to really understand this world, as she is worry that she will found someone more attractive than the person that she supposed to be with.
