The song for today is “邊城” by Mr. This is a song that I heard early today on radio, so the song is very new. The direct English translation of the title is “Edge city”.

The lyrics of the song are about how the world changes so much as we grow up. It said, in the long road ahead, which way we should head to as the world is so big. The song that I chose for today is “森林” by Mr. This is a song from the first album, so it is a few years old. The direct English translation of the title is “Forest”.

The lyrics of the song are about city development/life. At the start, the protagonist is looking out the window, he is calm. He felt that at this moment, the city is like a painting. But still he is living alone, and in a short time, there are too many changes. He heard all the jokes from the people around, suddenly all the sadness diminished. Slowly, he learns that it doesn’t matter even if the world stopped. Really, life is just like a high-rise, the city feels like an illusion and the light just feels like a encryption. Walking out to the balcony and gaze at the world; isn’t it still shining? But how many changes have it made? The night hit the forest; this flower will not blossom, but it still wanted to make noise. Between flowers, they seem to have forgotten how to love. Living in this big world, do we always have to become enemy and to become cool?  Really, life is just like a high-rise, the city feels like an illusion and the light just feels like an encryption. Walking out to the balcony and gaze at the world. In this world, we tried everything to build our home. Every flower, no matter they are large or small, they give up their life for the city; when they fall, we found their value. But even when it fall, we will still found it beauty. These flowers fall to make our city shine, but when they fall they still keep their beauty. Flower blossom; flower flies with the wind and form a nice picture. They could survive changes. The song that I chose for today is “昨天” by Mr. The direct English translation of the title is “Yesterday”. This song came out early last year, so it is around a year old.

The lyrics of the song are about thinking of our past. The protagonist was thinking about his past, he is thinking of all the good time that he had when he was younger. Back then, there was nothing to worried, all he and his friend did were to play hard and enjoy themselves. Now he laughs at himself, thinking how naive he was, but through this laughing, he realised he had grown up and he can no longer go back to the stage of worries free. The lyrics are rather sad, but it really depicts the reality. Hope you will like the song.

昨天 – Mr.

The song that I chose for today is “如果我是陳奕迅” by Mr. Mr. is a band in Hong Kong. This song came out in around 2009, it was Mr. first song. The direct English translation of the title is “If I am Eason Chan”. Eason Chan is a very popular singer in the Chinese community. It happened that the vocal from Mr. sound so much like Eason, they sound so similar that many people initially thought that the songs from Mr. was from Eason. This song is exactly about how it is to sound like Eason.

The lyrics is about the goods and bads of sounds like Eason Chan. It say things like they are not happy being a copycat, but it is not in their control as the vocal of the band was born with such voice. They wonder whether they would be popular because of this or they should train themselves harder to get popular. They wish that one day they could be like Eason, and they thanks Eason for motivating them. This is a fun song, so I guess we don’t need to take it so seriously. Hope you will enjoy this song.
