6th Feb 2015 (火舞艷陽 – Leon Lai & 花火の夜 – Noriyuki Makihara (槇原敬之))

The song for today is “火舞艷陽” by Leon Lai. This song is old, it was from 1994. On the internet, people said that this song is the Chinese cover version of Noriyuki Makihara (槇原敬之) “花火の夜”, but I found the two songs are quite different, so I don’t think it is the cover version. Anyway, title of Leon’s song translated to “Dancing fire bright sun”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said: “I need your love, in the middle of neon light and dance shadow. I need your kiss, in the direction of bright red. Your heat can warn up the world, say goodbye to cold. Your heart is like dancing fire and bright sun. I was lost, but after falling in love with you, I felt like I fallen into a love net. The imagination of the love story, becoming bigger in my heart, the dream of forever having you. Blurrily staring your eyes, your fiery eye is dripping love. The sense that is full of attractiveness, is like a dream, let me fly. Burning fire, it felt like that my dream is burning up tonight, it even burn my heart. Who is the person that making me lost my thought, slowly sweating; it is your eyesight. I need your love, escaping from the coldness of the snow. The song for today is “我的親愛” by Leon Lai. This song was very popular back at the time when it was released. It was the Chinese cover version of “もう恋なんてしない” by Noriyuki Makihara (槇原敬之). The direct English translation of the Chinese title is “My love”.

The lyrics of the song area bout love. The protagonist said that he still misses her warm love. When the sky is dark, it will go into his dream. He is slowly getting lonely, and yet he still hasn’t found a replacement. He still loves her, and wishes that she will comeback without him saying anything. Who would understand him as he tries to cover up his loneliness? He let sadness, depression and obsession carried to now. He understands that reality is reality and that there are always accidently. Who would have thought that he no longer knows how to love others? So she had make up her mind not accompanying him anymore? If he thought of her at night, could they start again? So she think this isn’t anything? Does she knows that he is gazing at the sea by himself again? Sayonara o Sayonara o (note, sayonara is Japanese, meaning good bye). He felt that perhaps it needs to be busy to felt like a modern love. He can’t hide that he hasn’t let go yet, but when he keep loving her she still ignoring him. Sayonara o Sayonara o, why he felt that there are still some love in his heart. She will never change in his heart and remain as his love. Hope you will like the song. The song that I chose for today is “傻癡癡” by Leon Lai. I chose this song because I forgot yesterday was Valentine’s day (as I am still single) until last night when I listened to the radio and heard this song. So I thought I really should post something sweet here as a blessing (and perhaps to compensate all the sad love songs that I have been posting all the time :p ) Anyway, the English translation of the title is “Silly”. This song is really old, it was from around 1993 and it was a theme song of a TV drama. Note that this is the Chinese cover, the original is a Japanese song call “三人” (meaning 3 people in Chinese, but I guess it got the same meaning in Japanese) by 槙原敬之

The lyrics of the song are about falling in love. The protagonist at the beginning say that the girl he love might found him a bit silly, always looking at her and never say a word, looks like he is just waiting for her instruction. He wonders whether she understands that to him she is like an angel. He hang around her every day, hoping that one day she will found him important. He hope that she will understand him one day, but until then he will stay next and wait. Hope you will like the song. By the way, I have also linked the original version just for comparison.
