The song for today is “達爾文” by Tanya Chua. I used to listen to this song a fair bit, I especially love the guitar solo at the start of the song. Tanya’s voice also goes so well with it. The direct English translation of the title is “Darwin”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said: “My youth, is not something without scare. Understand that love is the extension of the region. No matter what’s stand out, the eyes are still the one that attract people. But it couldn’t predict whether it is possible to love. Tried to be single, but couldn’t keep it this way. Wondering around, but sometime it is just a waste of time. The life of a human, relationship is a rotating door. Turn to the end, if it is truth, then will not separate. There was competition, there were sacrifice. The process to be filtered by love, learn to be truthful, learn to be trustworthy. Only the right people could live on. To learn about eternity, need us both. Evolve to better human. My youth, sometime is quite naïve. Believe that happiness is related to how deep you love. 10th May 2013 (好想放假 – Tanya Chua)

The song that I chose for today is “好想放假” by Tanya Chua. The direct English translation of the title is “I want to have holiday”. I guess the title speak for itself, it is probably the dream of every human being on earth :p

The lyrics of the song are about getting out of our routine. Throughout the song, the protagonist express that she want to take some holiday. She wanted to go to the beach and have fun under the sun. She said that it is a waste of a sunny day to spent time in the office away from the sun light. She want to go to the top of the mountain to feel the wind. She wanted to get away from her routine of relaxing through drinking wine at night. She said that if she keeps living the way that she does, she will never found freedom even until the day she die. She want to loosen up herself, she wanted to kiss with her boyfriend on the street. Happiness is more simple then we think, so don’t try to be too harsh on ourselves. Hope you will enjoy the song.

26th Jun 2012 (Day & Night – Tanya Chua)

The song that I chose for today is “Day & Night” by Tanya Chua. Tanya is a singer from Singapore. “Day & Night” was the first song that I heard from her. It was one of the theme song from a radio drama in Hong Kong call “日與夜” (meaning “Day & Night”).

The radio drama was about a guy and a woman, they have meet up in their childhood and have feeling for each other, but for some reason they have to split up. Years passes by, the two meet again. The two still have feeling for each other, but the woman was already married. So the drama is about wrong timing. Similar to this song, the lyrics is expressing the protagonist’s love, how deeply she want to be with the person she love. Hope you will enjoy the song
