28th Jun 2016 (單身情歌 – Terry Lin)

The song for today is “單身情歌” by Terry Lin. I came across this song today by accident. While I am not really drawn into the song, Terry skill is superb. Terry bring back quite a bit of childhood memory as I grew up at the time when his singing group was very popular. But ever since he become a solo singer I haven’t heard many of his song. He is a very skilful singer, he can sing with a very powerful voice without even look like he used any energy. Anyway, back to the song. The direct English translation of the title is “single love song”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said: “I couldn’t catch onto love. I always watch her walked away. Happy people are all over the world, but why can’t I be one? For love I fight alone. I have already taken enough bitterness from love. Everywhere are people that got lost in love, and I am just one of the many. The lower it gets, the braver the love need to be. Love will confirm dedication. Every single person understand, if you wanted to be in love, then you first must not be afraid of pain. Find the one that you love the most, like the most, attached the most, the closest to say goodbye to single. One that love many, crazily affected, cruel, heartless person all came to give me a scare. So many people are lonely, not many that are happy. Don’t dump me, missed me, and left behind this single me, singing alone. This truthful, infatuation and painful single love song, who is willing to sing along with me?” Hope you will like the song.,

20th Sep 2013 (時間的味道 – Terry Lin)

The song that I chose for today is “時間的味道” by Terry Lin. This song came out in 2002. The direct translation of the title is “The flavour of time”.

The lyrics of the song are about thinking of our past. It begins with the protagonist telling us that one day the world seems to be frozen and it had gone back to the time when he first got his baseball glove, his first girlfriend’s cat and the time when he still looking for treasures in a local grocery store. Back then he always look forwards to becoming an adult. Now he understood the freedom of his childhood, but now he got no way of going back in time. Memories are the movie ticket of life. Love, is the exclamation mark in our heart. Age is the letter opener of the truth, and time got it flavour as well. Going back to his primary school, kids are happily running on the basketball court. He found the marbles and his school bag, but he can’t find the tunnel that brings him back to his childhood. Hope you will enjoy the song.

10th Apr 2013 (認錯 – Terry Lin)

The song that I chose for today is “認錯” by Terry Lin. Terry is an amazing singer, though I am not sure whether he is still making music. He is a singer from Taiwan, back in the 90’s him and his teammate was very popular in Hong Kong. The direct English translation of the title is “Admit to be wrong”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist is very upset because he dumped his girlfriend, but now he realised that he still love her. He wanted to tell her that he still love her, but he didn’t have to gut to say it, because that means he will need to admit he was wrong. Hope you will like the song.
