song for today is “如果我有事” by Andy Lau. This song was the
theme song for the movie “Yesterday Once More” (龍鳳鬥)
from 2004. The movie was about a couple (played by Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng) that
were once thief, but one day Andy decided to leave Sammi (as he got cancer).
From memory, in their last case, they decided to steal a large diamond from a
rich guy by Sammi pretending to get married with the guy. As they approach the
end, Andy decided to pull away (to try to leave Sammi in a good hand before he
die). Of cause, Sammi found out, but I am not planning to spoil the ending :p
Anyway, what I am trying to get to is that there are two version of this song, “”
is sing by Andy, telling the story from the male perspective, while Sammi’s
version “如果你有事” tell the story from the female perspective. The
lyrics of the songs are very similar but it is an interesting pair of song. The
direct English translation of the title of Andy’s version is “If I have an
accident”.

lyrics of the song are about what the protective thing will happen to his
girlfriend if he had an accident and passed away. It said that he is worried
that he might not have the luck to accompany her for the whole life. So he
focused on how to make her happy such that she got something to remember about.

song is written by Kenny G. The direct English translation of the title is “You

herself. HE also wonder what a man could do wrong could hurt her that much. He
run around just wanted to find the truth feeling; the impossible truth and the

be his lady. Since she can’t spend her life with him, then he asked her not to waste

song for a very popular motorcycle/love movie. This song was very popular due

blow, his heart feel empty. The car flies to a faraway place. Who is the weak
and heartbroken person? People feel tired, and tired of love. The heart is freeze

today because I am worry about a big presentation that I have to do next week.
I am so panic that I can’t sleep well in the last few nights. I am not even
sure why I am so panic about it, as it is not really that close to it yet, but
I can’t stop myself thinking about it. So in the process of trying to calm
myself down, I search with some keyword in my iTunes library and I found this
song. The direct English translation of the title is “No need to worry”.

lyrics of the song are about being panic on stage. It starts by saying “that
there is no need to worry about being hurt and worry about dead. There is no
need to worry in life as there are always something uncertain in our life and
we will get used to it. No need to worry that people will make fun of you as

song that I chose for today is “當我遇上你” by Andy Lau. This was the theme
song for a boxing movie. While many said that the movie was bad, I actually quite
like it. I found the movie quite touching and I almost cried at the end. The
direct English translation of the title is “When I met you”.

there are too many changes and the protagonist was glad that his life was
returning back to normal. He had forgotten the things that lost except her. He
is lonely and he wanted to fall in love again. He wanted to have a family. He doesn’t

he meets this girl, he wanted to tell her that she can’t replace his ex-girlfriend.
But perhaps because of her existent, he express to her about his love. He

song that I chose for today is “倒轉地球” by Andy Lau. Personally I don’t
like Andy too much, but he is a very successful artist, not only that he is
well recognised in his singing career, but also in his acting career. This song
is very old, I think it is a classic of Andy as many people remember this song.
The direct English translation of the title is “Let's turn Earth around”.
The
lyrics of this song are about being happy and forget all our trouble. The song
start off saying let turn the Earth around, let go of our worries and all we
wanted now is freedom. It then go on and say that stop worrying, let play hard
by having a party, we will call over all of our friends and say good bye to all
the things that trouble us. It is a very positive song, hope you will enjoy it.
The
song that I chose today is “17歲” by Andy Lau. Like I have mentioned
in my earlier post, Andy Lau is one of the “Kings of Canton Pop” in Hong Kong
(though not many people refer to them through this name). Personally, I don’t
like Andy too much, but this is one of the songs from Andy that I like. The
direct translation of the title is “17 years old”.
The
lyrics are basically an autobiography of Andy. This song started from Andy
being 17 years, and told us that he went to the actor training in TVB. Then
when he became 29, he already got lots of fans and they were all very excited
when he sings. At the end of the song, it said he is now 40 (this song came out
in 2003 I think, so he should be around 50 by now), some of his famous songs
are no longer a classic, but they will remain in our heart and never change.
This
song is truly a song for his fans. Although I am not his fans, but I do like
the way that this song talks about his feeling being a star and the different
chances that he had that make the Andy today. Hope you will like this song as
