The song for today is “Hello吉蒂” by Candy Lo. This is a song that I wanted to write about for so long, but I have never been able to find any links of it on the internet. It is a song that I really like, but it was never a popular song. And once again, this song pop up in my head today, so I search again and I finally managed to find a page that I can link to to listen to the song. I couldn’t embed it like I usually do and the quality is quite low, but it is better than no link. The direct English translation of the title is “Hello Kitty”.

The lyrics of the song are about hope. The protagonist said: “Seen the toy is broken, never thought would cry. Her name is Kitty. The pain day after day, would it get better? She thought of everything. Perhaps she could find a Band-Aid, but who would take care of her and say don’t cry. Look, there are so many grey ducks and hedgehogs that become beautiful. Hohoho, Merry Christmas everyone!!! :D Hope you all will have an enjoyable holiday and have a great time with the your friends and family (or people that you love :D). I wanted to write about a Christmas song today, but unfortunately, I have pretty much done all the Chinese pop Christmas song that are in a happy mood (the sad one I guess is not too suitable on this occasion). So instead of a proper happy Christmas song that matches the mood, I think I will just write on a song that match the mood. So the song for today is “暖色” by Candy Lo. The direct English translation of the title is “Warm colour”.

The lyrics of the song are about enjoying the colourful world. It said: “Love all the different warm colour in this world. You only need to widen your eye sight, and you could enjoy your happiness anytime. The song for today is “哲學家” by Candy Lo. This is Candy’s newest song. I quite like Candy’s song, but she had disappeared for a number of years, it is a surprise to me when I heard her new song recently. The direct English translation of the title is “Philosopher”.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist thinking why people doesn’t like her partner. She said: “ Others are having a party but they don’t want to invite you. But really, you also don’t want to listen to their low grade jokes. You would rather be by yourself and spent your time with musician and writer. You were born with something and bourn to be weird. Others are laughing behind your back, saying that you are a dreamer. Completely skipping over your pair of eyes that could see through all the traps? The song for today is “去你的婚禮” by Candy Lo. The direct English translation of the title is “To your wedding”.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist feeling toward her ex-boyfriend’s wedding. She asked is that him, who managed to found a cheap partner, passed along the good news. What could be worse than your old love told you that he found true love? So cute? All she knows is to fight, never asked anyone for tenderness. She lives a tough life. You think she likes to scarify her life for her career? She thinks she needs to wear the best to cover up all the things that she lack. She told herself that being single is better than getting married, at least she could believe that her next partner would be better and more hansom than all the previous. She said she need to go to his wedding and personally wish his wife the best and tell her that she will bring her husband luck. He will need to thanks the protagonist for being polite, and admit that in the past she worth a lot to him. It doesn’t matter, as she doesn’t want to live in the same house as him and she doesn’t want to act as a chef. What could be better than living alone? Just pretend that she is too mean to be accompanied by. Please forgive. She lost a lover, but she doesn’t want to create another enemy. Hi everyone, this is my first post during my holiday :D I know some of you have been looking forward to this. Sorry to keep you all waiting, I have been going out early in the day and going back to the hotel very late, so I didn’t have the energy to write a post in the past couple of days. Alright, here we go :) The song I chose for today is “垃圾” by Eason Chan. This song was originally sung by Candy Lo, but I chose to talk about Eason’s version because this was the first version that I heard. I used to listen to this song so much. The direct English translation of the title is “Rubbish”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that if she is half piece of a rubbish paper, please let her turn into a butterfly. If she is an empty can, then let her harden her heart. He wasted her and buried her alive; she let him happy and let her decay, for him to bloom in the trash. Let her become rubbish, and stay in his house. Let her wound heal in the wallow, and grow again. Love is like rubbish, the remain will decay, but in the garden at the end, flowers will grow. It is not scary to be forgotten by the world, as loving him is sometime is scarier. She can no longer care for him, and that is not as good as turning into ashes in his hand. There is no need to be so perfect; how to resist to be so happy? Can’t he just be cruel? In the ashes, she has been swallow, there is nothing she worry about now, and so she is not scare about anything else. Hope you will like the song. Got a little busy yesterday so didn’t manage to write a post, this one will fill in for yesterday, the one for today will be coming soon.

The song that I chose for yesterday was “女魔術師的催眠療法” by Candy Lo. The direct English translation of the title is “Female magician hypnotherapy”.

The lyrics of the song are very fantasy. The protagonist said to forget about it and go to sleep. Forget about it, go and take a bath, forget. Rose, mixed with wine and swallowed. Put the moon you your face and let the music begin. The rose is growing, and let the fresh flower to cover your body. Dance at night but didn’t brought along your map. There is wave, but no wind. Traveling in the cloud and going toward to the moon. Read the wrong door sign, reached the cliff side and the snow blowed to the face. There is no end to this, and the spirit walked across at night. Got lost in that magic sleeping land. This weird place could be counted as a hidden treasure. If you believe you will get happiness. Hope you will like the song.

The song I chose for today is “風吹不走笑容” by Candy Lo. This was a theme song for a TV drama. I actually know this song from Candy’s album rather than the TV drama. The direct English translation of the title is “Wind can’t blow away our smile”.

At the start of the lyrics, the protagonist said that there are many problems and after that there are a few troubles as well. But she believes that she and him could get through it and have a bright future. She holds his hand even if the sky fall and she would remember the smile on their face. She wanted to get the cherry on the cliff, and she knows that she will have to fall in order to taste the best. No matter how hard the wind blow, it will not blow away the smile on their face. Even if they have to go through thunder storm, it is still better than being alone. She is not worry about the army that they have to face or the forest fire that are in front of them, as long as he is with her, then she can feel happiness. Rains are heavy and the got through a few problems. Being with him she is not worry that her shoes will break. She holds his hand even she knows their life are limited, she will remember his smiley face. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “逆插玫瑰” by Candy Lo. This song was from the album “花言. 巧語” in which pretty much every songs got something to do with flower. The direct English translation of the title is “Up-side-down rose”.

The lyrics are about love. At the start the protagonist said that her hands can grow Lily and when her boyfriend saw it, his eyes grow some cherry blossom. Although all of these are just his trick words, but she accepted them all. Perhaps she heard too little good words from others or perhaps she see love so great that she feels getting disappointed are too hard. While she thinks harsh, when she receive flowers she turn soft. She said she is like all naïve girls, she will believe in roses (in this case, she means love); who ever received the flower will be in love for life. When she is arguing with him, she can turn the rose up-side-down, there will be no vast that can hold this promise (here she is using rose as a symbol for promise) and the spike will make her sad, but even then she still wanted to be together. If she looks after the roses, perhaps it will grow again, or is the rose is a symbol of love, so at a certain time it will die just like the rose? She wonders why she is always annoyed by the little things. She said she is like all naïve girls, she will believe in roses (in this case, she means love); who ever received the flower will be in love for life. After she argued with him they are like an up-side-down hanging rose, so calm. There will be no vast that can hold this promise, but so dry like dry flower but never cease. So she is still waiting, waiting for it to turn beautiful for life. But even if she keep waiting and the flower turn alive again, at that time she would have already stop believing in love even though at the end the rose came back to life. The song that I chose for today is “戀愛很遠” by Candy Lo. The direct English translation of the title is “Love is so far away”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. At the beginning of the song, the protagonist asked to be forgotten. She wishes that her boyfriend stop knocking on her door as the door is locked. The key for the lock is lost and the password has been changed. She believe that she can live without anyone. Love is so far away and loneliness is so close. The floor is full of kisses that missed their target, but there is only foot print to accompany her. Whoever walk pass, please don’t follow her; please don’t turn on the light for her as she got used to living in the dark. She can’t stand being sad, then perhaps she should be single. She wishes that he could pity her, but she doesn’t know why he would even want to do that. There is no one to accompany her except of loneliness. It is so strength to be loved, and she think that being alone is more attractive. She only wanted to be alone, so please don’t worry about the road being too dark. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “紙皮箱” by Candy Lo. I personally quite like this song. The direct English translation of the title is “Carton box”.

The lyrics of the song are about our past. It begins with the protagonist telling us that one day she was cleaning her room and found this old carton box. This box contain the old her. She found photos of her high school friends, Christmas cards and toys. Seeing these reminded her many minor things about her past, about the people that she loved. All were living in the carton box, waiting for her to visit them again. The time that pasted by, the cities that she visited, now can all be touched by her hands. The people that she hasn’t seen for many years, the songs that she loves in her childhood, it doesn’t matter that the colour had faded away as she wouldn’t lose them. These items had enabled her to visit these experiences once more. The farewell present that her boyfriend gave her, the art piece that she bought in Germany, the train ticket from Kyoto are all in the box. Time had passed without us noticing and she doesn’t want to lose all these minor memories. The dreams that she had, the pains that she had, all are now living in this carton box. She now opened this dusty carton box and thinking about her past; all of these memories can be touch by her hands. Although the colour had faded a bit, but she will not lose them, and they will bring her back in time.

A few days ago I was cleaning my room and this is exactly what I feel. Recently, I don’t know what got into me, but I feel very unhappy all the time, feel very angry at pretty much everything. Partly, I was blaming that on my childhood, I was fill with these unhappy memories. For some reason all I think of was these painful memories in my childhood, how my mum make me study when everyone was playing, how I always not be able to do the stuff that I wanted to do. But when I was cleaning my room, I found all these toys; toys that I haven’t touch for years and I have almost forgot that I got them. Looking at them and touching them, I remember I used to loves these toys and I realised how lucky I was to have all these toys. I found boxes of toys and they are expensive toys even in today standard. Suddenly, the joy hit me, I remember the joyful feeling when I was playing them. I was cleaning my room in hope to get more space and I thought I was going to clean out these toys (which I didn’t expected this many) and gave them to my newborn nephew (although he is too young to play any of them). But now, looking at these toys, I really can’t decide whether I can give it to him as I am so emotionally attached to these toys. Anyways I hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “露西 (3,180,000 B.C. - )” by Candy Lo. This song was from 2005, so it is rather old. The direct English translation of the title is “Lucy (3,180,000 B.C. - )”.

Personally, I don’t fully understand the lyrics. From what I know, the name “Lucy” in the title is making reference to the corpse of the hominid found in Ethiopia, it was named as Lucy and found to be 4 to 2.7 million years old. From my understanding, the lyrics are about the protagonist thinks that the world that we are living in today is very complex. She sees that technology have improved our life, move us from cave to house, but the society is getting more and more complex. So she wishes that they can go back in time, living in the pre-historic time. Hope you will the song.
