As I
recently start working, I have been very busy, so I didn’t manage to write a
post yesterday. Currently I am considering to stop posting on a daily bases and
perhaps post once every two days. Ever since I started working, it literally
drained me. Worked for 8 hrs each day, but traveling takes a total of around 2
hours. So every day when I got home, have dinner, browsed a few things on
internet and it was already time to sleep, crazy lol It will takes me some time
to get used to this routine.
Anyway,
as I decided to write a post for today, then let’s not waste more time to talk
about my boring work. The song for today is “Mr. Adult” by Jason Chan. The
lyrics of the song are about growing up. It said: “There was a person giving up
playing with his guitar, only focusing on the Japanese yen exchange rate.
Making work top priority 7 days a week and never take a holiday. Once wanted to
pay tribute to Ka Kui (referring to黃家駒, the leading singer of Beyonds)
using all his pocket money on guitar. There was another that blame his love
relationship is never good, getting numbed by loneliness. The beautiful bubble
of the first love already got harden and also discovered that love is very
cheap. Only realised during tomorrow that the beautiful story in the fairy-tale
is so fake. Everyday we are making an improvement and we got to accept it. The
period full of freedom is hard to remain in your life. Model car, basketball
ring and friends from before; there are less and less to talk about but
memorial book got thicker and thicker. Good things left our life but time will

song for today is “做場好戲” by William So, Charles Ying (應昌佑),
Kate Yeung (楊淇), Jason Chan, Lesley Chiang (姜麗文) and
Benji Chiang (姜文杰). This song is a reader request, it is a theme song of
a HKTV drama “童話戀曲 201314”. Apart from William and Jason, I guess the
rest are not too well known. Charles was a singer under Leon Lai’s music label “A-Music”,
during that time he had a number of songs produced, that most famous one that I
could recall was “24” which featured Janice Vidal. He wasn’t able to make his
name well know, as sort of disappeared over the years. Kate, if I remember
correctly was a stage actor and she also stared in a few movies during the mid
00’s. Benji and Lesley are brother and
sister, they are the kids of Paul Chiang (秦沛, a famous Chinese actor. 秦沛
is his stage name). Benji worked in TVB for quite some time, and I think a couple
of years ago, he formed a singing group “Benji and Lesley” with his sister, and
they produced their own album. Lesley on the other hand had once worked at the
Japanese TV station NHK for some kid show. However the group seems to have disappeared
over the years. The direct English translation of the title is “Act a good show”

lyrics of the songs are about reaching your dreams. As so many people are involved
in this song, I will represent their line by the first letter of their name,
for example “W:” as William. W: No matter how the weather is like outside the
door, I will still hope for the best. Whoever hasn’t agree, didn’t cheer, but I

you will enjoy it. Never cared that other people have fight for it; I said that

popular in 2007, it was one of the songs from Jason’s first album. With a
simply melody, this song is quite easy to get tuck in your head. The direct English
translation of the title is “Breaking off ties”.
The
lyrics of the song are about the protagonist wanted the relationship with his
girlfriend to keep going after they broke up, but his girlfriend doesn’t want
to see him anymore. It said, the protagonist think that he perhaps no longer be
a good match to her, but he still wanted to be a friend that could accompany
her. It is hard for him to step back now, so even knowing that it may bring a negative
result, he wanted to keep loving her. Stop
this attitude of being so clear cut. Every time he tried to date her, she got a

ago I really love this song and I loop it over many times, it got a similar
sense of the songs from the 90’s. The direct English translation of the title

the ending extends beyond midnight. The protagonist said that he would be fulfilled
if he could see her for one more night. If his hands aren’t numb, then they can

songs from Jason recently, this song was from 2 years ago.
The
song is about the protagonist broke up with his girlfriend and he wanted her
back. After he gave up on her, he realised that he can’t live without her. He
tried to get her back, but she rejected him. Hope you will like the song.
The
song for today is “固執” by Jason Chan. This song was quite
popular when it came out, it was the Cantonese cover version of the Japanese
song “Only Human” by K (K is his stage name, his real name is Kang Yoon-Sung,
he is from South Korea. Failing his music career in Korea, he went to Japan and
become quite successful). This song is the theme song of a Japanese drama “１リットルの淚”
(in Chinese it is “一公升的眼淚” meaning “1 litre of tears”.)
The direct English translation of the song title is “Stubborn”.
The
song is about love. In the lyrics, protagonist said that no matter what
happened he will not leave the girl that he love. He will not leave her even if
she is going to hurt him or even when he know that she will never fall in love

Today’s
song is “理智與感情” by Jason Chan and Rainie Yang. This song came out in
2008, in Jason’s second album “Change”. The direct English translation of the
title is “intellect and emotion”.
This
song is about love. It basically discussing how love can’t be intellect, if
love is intellect, then it is probably not love. But the main message of this
song is that we shouldn’t be worried about how stupid we had loved others, because
there are many people who had a broken heart is still surviving. Also we should
treat this as an experience, without letting go you past, you will not find
your bright future.
When
I listen to this song, fragment of clips come up in my head. I remember when
this song came out, I was overseas for a research exchange program. It was the
first time I live by myself, and I was the first time in Japan, a place that I
always wanted to go. I remembered I used to listen to this song when I go out
for a walk at night. Everything was so convenient in Japan. I used to go home
at around 7pm, then have dinner and rested for a bit. By the time I realised I
need to get some food for the next day, it was already 10:30pm. Sometime, even
worse, I keep chatting with my friends and family until I realised it was 12:00am.
What I love about Japan is that there are supermarket open 24hrs a day. So I
remember I used to bring my MP3 player with me and walk to the 24hrs
supermarket. This song is one of the songs that I used to listen to during the
walk. I remember I used to get a whole freeze salmon (this supermarket mainly
sells in bulk). It was funny though when I got to the cashier, the guy sitting
at the cashier would stare at me. I think he was probably thinking why this person
walked in at around 12:30am and buying so much. It was a good time. Anyway, this
song brings me back lots of memory, so hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.
