28th Nov 2013 (雨中的戀人們 – Christopher Wong/恋人も濡れる街角 – Masatoshi Nakamura (中村雅俊))

The song that I chose for today is “雨中的戀人們” by Christopher Wong. This is Christopher’s classic song. To be honest, all these time I thought this song was sung by a different person, until yesterday I heard it on the radio and was shock to realise that it was sing by Christopher. The direct English translation of the title is “The couple in the rain”. This song is the Chinese cover version of the Japanese song “恋人も濡れる街角” by Masatoshi Nakamura (中村雅俊)

The lyrics are about love. The protagonist said that with the lost dream, he looks at the couple in the rain, saying good bye to each other. That coldness after the rain, he felt that it is the same from that day. That lonely wind is still full of emotions. The lovely memories from that day are still dancing in his heart. He walks around the street in the rainy day, many cars passed by. That fallen umbrella is like a tired face. He found himself still hurt from the fact that he had been forgotten. He wishes the rain could wet his dream. The sun seems to understand his sadness, so it shine on him after the rain and gave him warmness. He wonders whether he will meet her again here, bring away his loneliness and give him a warm hug. Seeing the back of a couple being him back the memories when they meet. But now their relationship is washed away by the rain, so let the love blow away by the wind. Hope you will like the song. I have also linked the original Japanese version for comparison.

9th Nov 2013 (波斯貓 – Roman Tam/憧れの SUMMER HOUSE –中村雅俊)

The song that I chose for today is “波斯貓” by Roman Tam. This is one of Roman’s classic. I am not sure why this song keeps popping up in my head today, so I decided to talk about it here. The direct English translation of the title is “Persian cat”. This song is the Chinese cover of the Japanese song “憧れの SUMMER HOUSE” by 中村雅俊.

Although it doesn’t especially said in the lyrics, but I think to a certain degree the ‘cat’ in this song is referring to a sexy girl that the protagonist know. The song begins with the protagonist said that the cat voice is sweet and deep. At night, he is no longer lonely. The cat shakes its waist and jumped slightly. Its eyes are so shinily that it reflects like a crystal. So sexy, so shinily. Its light body is so white, and looking at it makes him feel hot. Without wearing cloth, it body is so small. Its two eyes are like stars and very attractive. He wanted to take cares of it for his whole life. When he saw the cat, he will forget all his pain from works. In bed, it gives him warm. Persian cat, sexy body, it accompany him and he no longer feel lonely. The Persian cat that he is holding sounds sexy. It is swinging it tail, twisting it waist and making noises. Hope you like the song. As usual, for comparison, I have also linked the original Japanese version below.
