A Song a day: 7th Feb 2013 (千憶個夜晚 – George Lam/Lonely Won't Leave Me Alone

The song that I chose for today is “千憶個夜晚” by George Lam. This song is quite old, but it is considered as one of the classic by George. This is the Chinese cover of Jermaine Jackson’s “Lonely Won't Leave Me Alone”. The direct English translation of the title is “Thousand nights”.

The lyrics of the song are about love and loneliness. The song starts of telling us that the protagonist is leaving someone. He feels that the road is cold and lonely, but he said to himself that he needs to get used to it. He wanted to forget about the past and pretend nothing had happened. He tried to forget, but it is hard. He feels that there are thousand nights of loneliness is waiting ahead for him. At the end, he question why loneliness can’t leave him alone and stopping him from falling in love. Hope you will like the song.
