The song for today is “月球下的人” by Gin Lee. This is Gin’s latest song, I really like it. It is one of the few songs that I have been looping a lot recently. The direct English translation of the title is “The person under the moon”. The title of the song is very similar to Eason’s “月球上的人” (only differ by 1 word really). The lyrics of both songs are written by the same person, but they are not really a pair. While both talk about a similar theme, the stories are not related.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist thinking of the person that she loves, even though they are now apart. She said: “Wishing to fly to the quite moon to gaze at the windows of every family, and find out who is beside their love one enjoying the smell of rose on their balcony. The decoration is beautiful, a warm environment, fulfilling each and every pair. Who is now accompanying you to gaze at the moon and to forget about the sadness in the world? Full moon is only deserved to be hang on a gathering night. Biasedly shining on the happy couples, like I am alone living in a faraway universe, only deserved to be singing alone. Shouldn’t remembered, but why remembered? We never own each other anything, so why jealous? Your world at the beginning, there was already someone there to take care, making a dish to create happiness and sadness. Only should remembered that dandelion will always fly, it just that it happened to fly into the monochrome beauty of the memories. 15th Jan 2016 (雙雙 – Gin Lee)

The song for today is “雙雙” by Gin Lee. This is her newest song. I heard it yesterday and I really like it. The title got two meaning in Chinese, it could mean “a pair” or “both”.

The lyrics of the song are about the different stages of love. The protagonist said: “Very close, I am a lucky person. So proud every day. Both of us enjoyed love. Hehe Haha in the past, our pinkies are lightly hooked. My face is small, and you are also short, we swear to be together forever. Times flies, and we left behind foot print. When you walked so far that you forgot our first kiss. The kite that was broken off, travelled with me through many little towns. The road in the past is too far, the road ahead is too close, who will I end up staying with. So many funny promises are all disappeared. How many beautiful do you remembered? Time flies, so young, how many time have you broken up? After so many things we once again meetup. Cared each other so much but couldn’t say it out loud. Don’t know what to say, so I just smile at you. ^ years had passed, your face become burry. Sadly, love changes more often than anything else. 24th Nov 2012 (我愛U – Wild Child)

The song that I chose for today is “我愛U” by Wild Child. Wild Child is a band in Hong Kong, though they are not too famous. This song feature Gin Lee and Wan Hoi. I guess most of you know Gin Lee, if not click one of the link in the related posts and you will found my previous post on Gin Lee. Wan Hoi though, I guess most people don’t know who he is. Wan Hoi is a writer, but also an enthusiast of conspiracy, alien and religion, he is actually quite famous in these sectors. Anyways, the English translation of the title is “I love U”. In here the “U” doesn’t mean “you”, but “U” as in UFO.

The lyrics are about UFO. It basically just discusses the UFO culture. It says there is always a bunch of people join together and search for UFO in the sky. They might spot a few bright spots in the sky and question whether they are UFO or not, but they will never found out the answer. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “十年如當日” by Gin Lee. Gin is quite new in the Hong Kong music industry, but surely she got the potential to be very popular. The English translation of the title is “10 years on and it’s still like that day”.

The lyrics of the song are a bit said. The protagonist remembers that once a point in time, a boy had asked her out. In that dinner, she feel that she love this guy and she feel that this guy really like her as well. However, he didn’t end up being his boyfriend. She regrets about this, she regrets that back then she didn’t take his love seriously. She thinks perhaps they were too young back then, she lament that she missed the chance. In the last 10 years she have fallen in love so many times, but never had a good ending. It only until now she realised how important that boy was. Hope you will like the song.

5th Aug 2012 (默哀 – Gin Lee)

The song that I chose for today is “默哀” by Gin Lee. This song is very new, it is in the same album as “Falling”. The album only came out around a week ago. I personally quite like this song. I am surprise that this song isn’t the first song that they advertise with for the album. This song surely got all the hit elements in it, and I think eventually this will become a big hit. The direct translation of the title is “Silence”, not as in keep quiet, but as in a minute of silence in a funeral.

This song is about letting go. In the lyrics, the protagonist was angry that she broke up with her boyfriend (probably because her boyfriend cheated on her). She wanted to yell at him, but she didn’t. She don’t know how to release her anger. Slowly, she realised that feeling angry means that she still got feeling toward her boyfriend. So in order to really let go of this relationship, she shouldn’t even feel angry. At the end of the song she achieved this. The song itself is that very special, but it surely got all the hit elements in it. I hope you will enjoy this song.
