The song for today is “再見悲哀” by Sandy Lam. This is a song from 2005. The English translation of the title is “Goodbye sadness”.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist finally letting go and feel free. She said goodbye to sadness as she feel that she no longer care about the ending. Everything could be free now and she doesn’t care who is wrong. She closed her eyes and asked herself what have she lost, she felt that right and wrong just pass by her, so don’t be so stubbing to keep questioning why things happened the way that it did. Goodbye to sadness because she is not easy to be trap by tears. No matter what happened she like to let it go freely. Returning to her mental stage at the beginning, being peaceful in her heart, sounds of birds just disappeared in a second. Apart from heart, there is only heart that could free a heart. Getting annoyed all because she wanted a lot. If she is as small as a sand and as light as smoke, then there wouldn’t be trouble. Getting lost and fallen into the river. The road of love is too rough, then just treat it as an experience. If you being touch by love, then treat it as a challenge. No matter what you bump into, just try to appreciate it. When you are into it, then just try to enjoy yourself. This is the best way. No matter you are dumb or crazy, all because you remembered too much, try to forget more than you can remembered. The song that I chose for today is “依然” by Sandy Lam. This is one of Sandy’s classic. The direct English translation of the title is “Still”. This song is the Chinese cover version of “I Still Believe” by Brenda K Starr.

The lyrics of the song are about love. At the start the protagonist described that the wind is blowing and it created lots of waves. These waves hit her interest. This night he suddenly appeared and gazed at the sea with her. He asked her how are you, whether everything is ok and whether she has found her true love. But she wonders whether he knows that she is still waiting. She wonder whether he knows that his voice is still making her heart beats. They were once together after mid-night. They have been through a lot, experienced a lot, happy and bitter. The sea water washed off their foot print, but they still love each other. She still believes that it would be better for them in the future; they will continue their love fire. She still believe hat in the future he will understand what she is waiting for. If his hear still hold a bit of their fire, then she will use all her strength to catch the fire. Even if she will spend her whole life and all her time, she will not asked; she just wish that he will know who is truthful. If he can still feel what she feel, then she hope that they can go back to their past. If he still needs what she needs, then she hopes that they can stay here together. The lyrics of the song are about dreaming. The protagonist said that the most beautiful scene still haven’t end and the widest road is on the other side of the world. Her best friend is always on her side. So listen to her as she never lies. When she wanted to meet up, then they will meet up. When she wanted to be happy then she will go after happiness. She wanted to believe that she was right, and this thought makes her tired. She believes that one day her dreams will come true. Even though it will be difficult, but she will make it happened. The song that I chose for today is “講多錯多” by Sandy Lam. I remember I had listened to this song a lot on the radio when I was still a kid. The direct English translation of the title is “More you said, the more wrong it is”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. It begins with the protagonist telling us that her boyfriend treat her quite well, he drive her to her destination every day and give her flowers every day. The only downside of him is that when he got drunk, he lost his ability of making up stories. So please stop talking if you only talk about rubbish. One night he returns home very late and she can smell the perfume on him. Then he start making up this stupid story about what had happened. She didn’t bothered listening to him and wishes that he could just shut up because the more he said the faker the story sounds. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “灰色” by Sandy Lam. This is one of Sandy classic, the song came out in 1987. The direct English translation of the title is “Grey”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist found out that her boyfriend was dating another girl. She no longer wanted to pretend that she didn’t know about it. There is no point of dragging this on as she doesn’t want to keep loving this love liar. At the same time, she still thinks of him as he is the first one that gives her the feeling of love. His involvement in her life had made her life a lot more colourful. But now there is only grey in her cold heart. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “為何他會離開你” by Sandy Lam. I am not a fan of Sandy, but no doubt she is one of the more unique singers in Hong Kong. She was very famous in the 90’s. I guess this is one of her more popular song in recent years, but she has many classic song. The direct English translation is “Why he left you”.

The lyrics of the song are about a pair of couple just broke up and the narrator is explaining why the guy left her friend. The narrator felt very sorry for her friend, the narrator cry when her friend starts crying. She tells her friend not to try to get the boyfriend back as he had hurt her too much. The narrator explain to her friend why he left. She said that her friend had turned from girlfriend to best friend, and the cause of that is that the couple seen each other too often. The narrator said that she had told her many times, but her friend just never listened. She feels that her friend left the boyfriend no room for himself, which turn the relationship bad.
