The song that I chose for today is “開不了心” by Eason Chan. This song is around 6 years old. Someone posted this song on Facebook, I saw the title and felt that it matches my feeling.  I am not sure why I felt unhappy today, perhaps it is the incident in Boston or it is just my periodic depression that I seems to experience once a while when I think too much about my study. The direct English translation of the title is “Can’t get happy”.

The lyrics of the song are about sadness. It start off saying that the protagonist felt sick of keep going in his life, the people around him is so worry about him that they started to encourage him blindly. The protagonist said that he don’t want his friends to force him to smile when he is down. It felt like that his friends think that he will commit suicide when he is sad. So if we are unhappy, then just let it be, there is no need to encourage us. All we should do is to follow our heart to release our emotion. There is no need to hide from our emotion, so don’t force yourself to find happiness when you are sad. Once we have digested the sadness, we will be up and running again. When we think about what have wars done to our world, how could we not feel sad, but telling us that some places were lucky enough to not suffer from salvation would not make us happy instantly. We go to see doctor when we are unhappy and take medicine until we forgot hatred, but that would be sad to force ourselves to laugh without emotion. So unhappy perhaps is not a bad thing, as we need to search for reasons to be happy. Once we have overcome our difficulties, when we will be reborn. Hope you will enjoy the song.
