Hi everyone, I am posting a few songs a week onto this blog. Hope you will like my pick for the day. Feel free to post links for songs that you think are related to my pick :D
The
song that I chose for today is “昨天” by Mr. The direct English translation
of the title is “Yesterday”. This song came out early last year, so it is around
a year old.
The
lyrics of the song are about thinking of our past. The protagonist was thinking
about his past, he is thinking of all the good time that he had when he was
younger. Back then, there was nothing to worried, all he and his friend did
were to play hard and enjoy themselves. Now he laughs at himself, thinking how naive
he was, but through this laughing, he realised he had grown up and he can no
longer go back to the stage of worries free. The lyrics are rather sad, but it
really depicts the reality. Hope you will like the song.
Today
I chose the song “夢想天空” by Stefanie Sun. I chose this
song for today because I wanted to talk about dream. The direct English translation
of the title is “The sky of dreams”.
The
lyrics of the song are about the protagonist fighting her way to make her dream
come true. She is not too into the world that she is living in, she wanted
something different. Perhaps her road would be lonely, but when she was young
she made the decision to follow her dream. The world is massy, and she is
chasing her dream, looking for her own battlefield and testing the limit of
life. She tried not to think about the meaning of courage, but just tried her
best when she got the chance. Then she realised that the sky of dreams is so
wide. Perhaps she was too naïve, thinking her new world would arrive one day, but
it is after all these challenges and the sadness that she gone through, the
truest smile can finally be seen on her face. So perhaps there is no limit to
the sky of dreams.
I
guess everyone got a dream, but whether that dream came true is another
question. Some of us might just keep our dreams as dreams, believing that
dreams should only stay as dreams, and when we lose our dreams we lost the
purpose of life. Some might try to chase after our dreams, but not long into
it, we got drifted away from it by reality, such as family responsibility. Some
might try to make the dream come true, but fail. There is only a small amount
of person that can make to the end and got the dream come true. So I guess what
this song try to tell us is that we shouldn’t be scared about the consequences
of failing, but rather have the courage to chase our dreams. Even in the case
that we have failed, we would have a better understanding of the world, and we
might appreciated our world a little bit more than we did. Hope you will like

The
song that I chose for today is “伴你高飛” by Amanda Lee. This song is
quite old, it came out in 1997. The direct English translation of the title is “accompany
you to fly high”.
The lyrics
of the song are about love. The lyrics said that the protagonist love her
boyfriend very much, she would like to go anywhere with him regardless where
they are traveling to. She said that she love him even more than she love
herself. Hope you will like the song.
The
song that I chose for today is “離開,是為了回來” by Chet Lam. Today is
the last day of my 1 month long holiday, I really wish that I could stay longer, I
missed all my friends here, but I guess I really just wanted to escape from my
study life. Anyway, this song is dedicated to my friends, I really like to
thanks you all making my holiday fun and enjoyable, seeing all of you really
make me feel that I have travelled back in time and reminded me of the good old
days when we can still afford to have fun. Back to the song, the direct translation
of the title is “leaving, is for the sake of returning”.
The
lyrics of the song actually describe the protagonist leaving a place for
holiday to heal his wounds for breaking up with his girlfriend. In the lyrics
it said that he is leaving for holiday tomorrow, his friends wish him to have a
happy holiday. He can choose to stay, but leaving perhaps is a way to release
his pressure and sadness. He wishes he could travel with some, but it is too
late now as he had already left. He told himself that many people in his life
can’t stay with him forever, and there are always regrets that we can’t fix,
perhaps we should learn how to leave it behind. But he realised that he is too
weak to take this to action, and he just tried to act tough in front of others.
So he told himself, if ending is for restarting, finishing a drink is for
refilling, then raining is for us to treasure the sunny day and the short period
of happiness is for us to recall it many many times, so perhaps leaving is for
returning. Hopefully you will like the
song.
The
song that I chose for today is “真的愛妳” by Beyond. If you have been
following all my post, I guess you will notice that I felt very down most of
the time, in fact I think I got depression or close to depression. Though I am
glad that my family is with me all the time, otherwise I really don’t know what
I might have done to damage myself. So today I chose this song as a give to my
parents for helping me out all these time. My battle is still not over yet, but
really without their help and support, I guess I would be in a worse shape. The
English translation of the title is “Really love you”.
Although
the lyrics of the song are more dedicated to mothers, but to me, this song goes
to my dad as well. The lyrics of the song are about saying thanks to mother,
who have been looking after the protagonist and telling him to stand back up
when he fall. I feel very toughing when I listen to this song, especially when
I see parents aged lot quicker in recent years, I really feel that it is time
for me to takes care them. Yet, I am still studying and not progressing well, and
not just that, I even requested them to take care of me as I got so depress
with my study. I really wish that I can start working and earning enough to
support my family to repay my life time debt to my parents. Hope you don’t mind
that the post today get a bit personal, I just really needed a way to express
my feeling. As always hope you will like the song.
First of all happy new year!!! The
song that I chose for today is “第二天（快樂是...)” by Kay Tse. This is quite
a positive song. The direct English translation of the title is “Second day (Happy
is….)”. I chose this song for today because I feel very unhappy and I felt lot
of pressure, these days I realised that I am very bad at controlling my own
feeling, I always let this negative energy takes over me and got into a sad
mood and I don’t know how to get out of it. This song somewhat give me the
positive energy that I needed to jump out from that mood.
The
lyrics of the song basically tell us to have fate and hope. The lyrics said
that every now and then we face something bad, like feeling the pressure from
homework, got bullied at school, lost in a competition that we tried very hard,
did something wrong at work that make a big mess, our love one have turn away
from us, the pressure of getting enough money to support the family need, etc….
What we need to remember during these times is that we shouldn’t feel discourage
and afraid, but rather, remember that there are always stars in the darkness,
darker the sky, brighter the stars. It is this sadness that makes happiness
more unforgettable. So if we faces problems in the future, I wish that you
could gazes at the stars, then you might realised that happiness is always

you need to overcome your fear.

song that I chose for today is “莫再悲” by George Lam. It’s New Year’s
eve, so I chose this song hope that all of us can leave the unhappiness behind
in 2012 and move forward to 2013 happily. The direct English translation of the
title is “Don’t be sad”.
The
lyrics of the song are about not get sad when we face problems. The lyrics told
us that everyone will face a serious problem in our life, and everyone will get
hurt, but don’t be sad. Stop thinking about the unhappy event as that will make
our road more difficult, rather, use our imagination and dreams to form a beautiful
future and walk away from sadness. Hope all of you will like the song and wish
