The song that I chose for today is “過敏世界” by Jacky Cheung. From memory this song wasn’t too popular when it came out, but it is surely one of my favourite. The direct English translation of the title is “Over Sensitive world”.

The lyrics of the song are about news. It talks about how our world relay on news, yet many of this news are not the truth, however, we follow this news regardless of whether it is truth or not. It tells us that we are getting insane as we believe all these fake news and build our society on these fake news. Hope you will like this song.

I was talking to my friend today and he told me that he think Aarif got the potential to become very popular, but for some reason he haven’t get there. I have different opinions but I do like this song from Aarif. Since I have talked of him with my friend today I thought I should talk about him here as well, to let more people to know about him. The English translation of the title is “Frivolous years”.

The lyrics of the song are about our younger self. The protagonist thought about his past and told us how much he want to go back to fix it up. This song is the theme song for a movie. Hope you will enjoy the song.

The lyrics of the song are about a pair of couple that broke up. The protagonist is thinking back at the time when they were together. He remember they have been to many places and that he promised her that they will have a grand wedding party and live happily ever after. But now none of those will came true. The lyrics of the song are about love triangle. The protagonist got 2 girlfriends. He regrets what he had done and realised that he had hurt all three parties. He know that he was stupid for doing that. But now to minimise the damage done, he asked his first girlfriend to leave. He know that it is unfair to the girl and he know that she is upset about this, but he don’t know what other option he has that can make things better. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “風玲” by Candy Lo. From memory, this song wasn’t too popular back then, buy it is one of my favourite from Candy. The English translation of the title is “Wind Chimes”

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist told us that she received a letter along with a wind chime from her ex-boyfriend. When she was reading to the letter, the wind blow and the wind chime makes noise. These noises reminded her about they love story. To her, it also feels like they are communicating through this wind chime. She realised that after all these time she still have feeling toward him, she wishes that when her ex-boyfriend heard these sounds made by the wind chime he would feel the same way. The song that I chose for today is “手下敗將” by Jade Kwan. This song is around 10 years old, if I am not wrong, I think this is one of the song in Jade’s first album. The English translation of the title is “Loser”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist of the song has fallen in love with a person that she shouldn’t fall in love with. The boy is a player and has many girlfriends. So she feel that every day she is fighting against another dozen of girls just so that she could be his favourite of the week. Even if she came first, she needs to think very hard to figure out how to became first again in the following week. But she knows that one day she will have to let go as she couldn’t fight like this for the rest of her life. Hope you will like the song.
