The song that I chose for today is “落錯車” by Sammi Cheng. This song was very popular, it was written by Gigi Leung (another singer, they were in the same company back at the time when the song came out). The direct English translation of the title is “Getting off the wrong car”.

The lyrics of the song are about love, it basically talks about the protagonist regretting on giving up on a relationship. The protagonist said that at the end of her long journey with him, they didn’t end up being together. In the sport car, there are only two seats. Suddenly, someone outside the window is waving at her, as if she suddenly got some help from God. If she decided to stop and take an apple from the guy on the road, her boyfriend would felt unhappy. But she doesn’t want to miss any scenery in her journey and she realised that their relationship wasn’t actually that bad. Getting off the wrong car is like leaving a highway of happiness. No one could guarantee her that tomorrow would be better. If her new boyfriend only speak of the goods but never acts, she got nowhere to run. Then she would realise how costly it is to dream. Getting off the wrong car, but now realised that she only love her old lover. She learns that greedy people would always take the long way. So let’s stop worrying and protect herself, she would just pretend that they have never meet. She suddenly felt that this is a danger zone and would nearly kill her. So before the car left, she decided not to fall in love with the new guy as she believe that imagination would be more beautiful than reality. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “別來無恙” by Nicholas Tse. This song is from my favourite Nicholas Tse’s album “零距離” (“Zero distance”), there are a lot of good songs in this album. It is hard to translate the title, the closest that I could think of in English is “How have you been?”

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that the sky at day time and at night is the same; the stars here or at the South Pole are the same, they all shine. From the day before yesterday to today, things never change; everything will stay the same. He said he will always admire her, regardless of how she looks. He will always loves her, and she will always matches his imagination. For her, he will always do his best regardless. He will be ok regardless of when she will see him again. He will never get lost, as he will always be the same. No matter how’s the world change, he will always walk towards her and that’s his direction.

13th Jan 2014 (Saranghae – Justin Lo)

The song that I chose for today is “Saranghae” by Justin Lo. This is one of my favourite songs, it was out a few years ago when Justin decided to pause his career in Hong Kong and move to China. The title is in Korean (note that the song is in Cantonese), according to internet, it means “I love you” in English.

The lyrics of the song area bout love. The protagonist said that when he sing his song, she doesn’t understand, then it is his fault; but when he sung to that line, only her would understand him. He had never gone crazy like this, the whole day he just thinks about her. This makes him stronger, but yet, he also wanted to cry quietly. Baby Chakeah, she is more important than himself. He felt that he got strength when he is with her. He wanted to clear out the tears marks on her face, and he will provide a simple world for her so that he could hear her laughter. He promises her that he will love her the same way even when they aged. If she left him, he will die, but the history of their love will never die. He will yell “Saranghae” to the sky, to show to the world that no one else could replace her. He will tell others how he loves her until the air is full of love. It makes sense that he can’t calm down, he will hold her and breathe from her. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “宏願” by Pakho Chau. The direct English translation of the title is “Great aspirations”.

The lyrics of the song are about keep loving even the chances are slim. The protagonist said that he knows the reality could be cruel, but he still needs to face it. He wishes that she could turn her head and look at him, but in some ways that will be more painful. The clock, that was once a gift, is still running, it remain them that many minutes have past. HE knows that thinking about their past would not give him any courage; but if he needs to let her go, it is as hard as walking through a desert. So why not just think in a naive way and think that they will be together again one day; that way the last thousand days without her is just a short break for their relationship. If at the end all he got is sadness, he is still willing to accept it. If he could turn time back, he wouldn’t be scare to face the sadness again. If he could share his feelings, he is not worry to get dump again. His great aspiration is so great that it cover the smallest thing, something like watching a movie with her again. If she leaves just because their personality is mismatch, then he is willing to let her chose his personality. If miracle only happens once per life time, then please let him have that warn feeling again for tonight. If he saw her head back from a far distance, then they are actually very close. If his great aspiration is too small, then let not take it into account. Lucky that he still hasn’t gave up on this relationship. From this he understands that he will challenge time for love. His love is so pure; he just wanted to be with her again. If he has to take some burden, then perhaps it is luck that he can take the burden. If at the end all he got is sadness, he is still willing to accept it. If he could turn time back, he wouldn’t be scare to face the sadness again. The song that I chose for today is “阿門” Joey Yung. I used to love this song so much that I loop it like every day, but I guess I had listen to it too much and now I have no feeling toward this song. Sometime I even want to skip it because I have listened to it too much and somewhat got sick of it. But anyhow, it is a good song. The direct English translation of the title is “Amen”.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist thinks that everyone is being unfair on her boyfriend. It begin by the protagonist saying that she doesn’t believe her boyfriend is not being serious about their relationship. She think that everyone is just looking down at him and felt sorry for her, but think that too bad that she chose the wrong guy. Though she thinks differently, she thinks that others are jealous of her so they told her that he is a bad guy. She believes that people can’t separate true love. When it got late, let they just say amen, remember that they had tried to be partner; always shown as a pair and others will get more jealous. Even if they are wrong, she thinks that others are more wrong than they are. Perhaps she will get sad if she loves him too much, but it wouldn’t result in a good ending if she all of a sudden hates him for what he had done. If he doesn’t want her to be sad, then please at least promise her that next year today, they will be eating buffet together. Let sing a song together and hopes others will apologise to you. So now got to a point that she is so worry that she doesn’t want to tell her friends she is in love and of cause she doesn’t expect him to clap for her. If being bias could get an award, she thinks that she would have already got a medal. She doesn’t believe that it would end badly if they both take out their true heart. Everyone is judging him badly and think that he is always in control of the whole situation. But what she believes is that happiness doesn’t require blessing from everyone. No matter what happened, they will share the burden. Hope you will like the song.

The song that I chose for today is “木紋” by Denise Ho. This is one of my favourite song, I used to loop this song for the whole day. The direct English translation of the title is “Wood grain”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said she if a person cut down a dead tree, the wood wouldn’t feel the pain, but she, who water the tree every day, would feel empty. If a relationship have to end, it is hard to pretend that it never happened. So let her count the years, and these years, she felt pain. That relationship was beautiful, and the memories have already engraved to a hundred years long letter. In the letter, they hold hands and their love was deep, the ending that they got is not caused by a wrong start. It is easy to be separated, but hard to wipe their past as they have many candle dinners. It is hard to use an axe to cut it and turn the memories to ash. She doesn’t have a partner now, but there are still memories, they gazed at the star together. These memories was just like it happened yesterday, they have been recorded. But now, the tree had fallen, she is by herself; it is impossible to destroy the record and it will not disappeared. They are finished now, but human is not like plants, so it is difficult to forget. If he engrave a wooden heart for her, it wouldn’t reduce her pain. The song that I chose for today is “絕情” by William So. I have completely forgotten this song, but I happened to heard it on the radio yesterday. It was a popular song back in 1995. The direct English translation of the title is “unfeeling”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that he never verified with God, so he never knows how long his love will last. But that moment just hit him, the feeling of a lover; sadness was unavoidable from the start. She never answered his questions and reject to answer any more questions. He wanted to speak up, but he got no ways of doing so. He is now lonely, but perhaps the cold wind could give him a clear mind. He keeps calculating, but at the end his relationship still ends. He should be with her all his life. He tried to keep going with her and resist when she wanted to dump him, she said she hate to see him reappear again. Unfeeling, but he still wishes that they could keep going. He wish to be in love with her again, butt sadly her heart is like stone. Unfeeling, but he still worries about her. He still doesn’t want to leave yet, so he just waited on the side. He is lost, and he thought about that day when he was still dreaming, he remember her face before she leave. If snow keeps blowing in winter, it would stir up a lot of sadness. Anyone could fall in love as love is beautiful and great, but at the same time it makes people sad. The lonely man, he now just stay on the street, feeling sad. He still can’t fly because he still hasn’t managed to open up his wing. Hope you will like the song.
