The
song that I chose for today is “Chotto 等等” by Sammi Cheng. This song
is very old, but it was popular at the time. It was the Chinese cover of the
Japanese song “Chotto” by Maki Ohguro (大黒摩季). The direct English translation
of the title is “Wait Wait” (Chotto is wait in Japanese and等等 is
also wait, but in Chinese).
The
lyrics of the song are about love. The lyrics of the song start off with the
protagonist saying to wait. She wanted to tell her boyfriend not to give her
all his love at once. She rather he split his love in small part and gives it
to her each day. Wait, please wait, romance is like wine, it need to be drink
slowly. She said she just wanted to be warm by his love each day. So she wanted
to be drunk by his love and get more drunk day by day. Hope you will like the
