The
song that I chose for today is “大會堂演奏廳” by Hacken Lee. This is one of
my all-time favourite and one of my favourite from Hacken. This song is very very
old, I think it is from the early 90’s. Every time I listen to it, it paint a
picture in my head. The direct English translation of the title is “Town Hall’s
concert hall”. (In Hong Kong, most of the concert halls are in the Town hall.)
The lyrics
of the song are about love. It begins with the protagonist saying that at night
when he walks by himself, he feels alone. The light rain make things look
burry. The cold yellow light feels like the fog light is laughing at him. For
some reason, these remain him of the time when he turn his head, and meet her
in the town hall. They affectionate and they were holding hands. It felt like
the time was stopped, and the concert felt very romance. But the time didn’t
stop, and now it is all gone. The funny thing is that he can’t stop himself
from thinking of the sweet time that they had together. Under the stars, she is
laughing at him, as she thinks he is like a clown. So now he is not afraid of
breaking up. After the break up, he gets thinner and thinner. Fallen in love
makes him tired. Hope you will like the song.
