The
song that I chose for today is “心淡” by Joey Yung. The direct English translation
of the title is “Disheartened”.
The
lyrics of the song are about love. It begins with the protagonist telling us
that she can’t understand why she was so sick that she can’t distinguish
between bitterness and sweetness. Every day she keep holding on, and keep
trying to contact him. She wonders does she need to live like this for the rest
of her life. She said she is humble. She lost her self-respect all because she
love him too much. She just never been able to learn to hate him, and because
of that she can’t leave him and he is not worry that she will fly away. So she
decided from this minute onward, she will use half a year time to slowly
dishearten about him and slowly to walk away from him. Her heart will hurt each
day. Over the hundred or so days, it should be enough for her to send her to
hell and then bring her back alive. So if she decided to break up in Spring,
then by Autumn, she should have got used to it. Hope you will like the song.
