The
song that I chose for today is “睡公主” by G.E.M. From memory, this was
the first song that she sent to the media for promotion. The direct English
translation of the title is “Sleepy beauty”.
The
lyrics of the song are about love. It begins with the protagonist say that in
her dream all she need is a kiss, but she know that in real life, she will
never be able to hug him. She said she will fully enjoy her dreams even though
it will only last for a very short time. But she feel the the world got flip
over when she woke up. When she is in her dream, she is not worry being alone.
She don’t mind to be like the sleepy beauty, where she sleeps for hundreds of
years. If she can only hope for the best in her real life, she rather be
sleeping for the rest of her life, then at least in her dream, they will always
