A Song a day: 4th Aug 2013 (灰姑娘

The song that I chose for today is “灰姑娘” by Gigi Leung. This is a song from my favourite album by Gigi. The direct English translation of the title is “Cinderella”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. It begins with the protagonist saying that she is carrying a present for him. She is all prepared, wearing new cloths. She wanted to give him a kiss tonight and give him a hug in his birthday party. When she arrived at his palest, she found another girl also carrying a toy that he loves. She felt shattered. He looked at her for a minute thinking what to say, then he said that he wish her that she would like his new home. She is completely shattered, saying that how you can make fun of her. She will travel home by herself and she would not drop a tears. She wanted to trade her embarrassment to happiness. She tried to forget about him, but she felt very bad about it. She imagined that if one day he lost everything and come back to her, she would reject him. But then she realised that she also feel bad for hating him. Hope you will like the song.
