The
song that I chose for today is “時差” by Hacken Lee. From memory, this
song came out at the time when Hacken wasn’t doing too well in his career. The
direct English translation of the title is “Time different”.
The
lyrics of the song are about love. It begins with the protagonist telling us
that he just landed in Los Angeles, and soon he will be able to go back home.
He felt tired, but his heart wanted to talk to her, though he realised that his
words is hard to travel across the ocean, just like the boarding pass that he
left behind, it will be never be found again. Day after day, he is always in a
rush. Wearing the pilot uniform had given him lots of dream. But day after day,
they talked less and less to each other. He wonders why they are always in the
different time zone. He is scare when she speaks of the truth. Perhaps it was
because he was always in the cockpit that slowly he becomes dumb. It is
difficult to make her stay. Perhaps, if there were thunder that struck down the
plane, then at least she would think of him. Hope you will like the song.
