13th Jul 2013 (快感飛行 – Candy Lo)

The song that I chose for today is “快感飛行” by Candy Lo. This song is old, it was from 1998. To me, this is one of those typical Candy’s songs. Her songs are quite special, while her tone of voice makes the song feel hopeless. The direct English translation of the title is “Sensation from flying”.

The lyrics of the song are about getting free. The protagonist begin by telling us that she saw a bird flying back home. She admired the bird, wishes one day she could fly away and rest on the moon. She had climbed to the highest point and jump. When her feet are off the ground, she extended her arm to pretend to be a bird. But no matter how high she can jump, her body weight will drag her down. He didn’t worry about that jumping would hurt her, not worrying that it look stupid. So she imagine that she could fly away. She never limit her thought. Even when she felt tired, she doesn’t wanted to be limited by perceptions. She believes that one day she will be looking down on earth from the cloud. In corner of her house, she pretend to be a bird again. At the moment when she is above the ground, she felt happy but at the same time disturbed. Even though god didn’t gave her wings, but that wouldn’t restrict her dream. So let’s our imagination go wile and fly far away. Hope you will like the song.
