A Song a day: 22nd Jul 2013 (長髮

The song that I chose for today is “長髮” by Ekin Cheng. The direct English translation of the title is “Long hair”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. It begins with the protagonist saying that it is so quite at night and there are so many stars in the sky. But it feels like the dark sky is asking him whether his ex-girlfriend is happy and relaxes today. She had left him for a long time, so he doesn’t know how anything about her now, all he remembers was their past. He remembers that there was once she offered him her long dark hair and asked him to kiss her hair. His long hair reminded him of her, and the great time that they had together. Now looking at the broken hair, it can’t flow with the wind, and they can’t gaze at the stars together. He wonders whether her hair is long or short now, he wishes that he could see her. He wonder whether how’s her day been and whether she is still happy or have meet her new love, whether she still like to smile like she used to. Hope you will like the song.
