11th May 2013 (地球應援團 – Sugar Club (糖兄妹))

The song that I chose for today is “地球應援團” by Sugar Club (糖兄妹). Personally I quite like Sugar Club, their songs generally feel fresh and are quite different to the main stream. The title is a bit hard to translate into English, so I put it into Google translate and this is what it come out “Earth Ouendan”. Ouendan, is a Japanese word, it is something similar to a cheer squad.

The lyrics of the song are about being environmentally friendly. It said that if we look at the map, we will see lot of green land, but in front of us, these green lands are all dried up and useless. Perhaps we are too passionate that even the North Pole can feel our energy and start melting. The most amazing thing about this is that these incidents are all man made. As a human being, why do we want to destroy our base? So let’s give our Earth a helping hand as it is our origin. If you decided not to help our Earth and say goodbye to it, no matter how wealthy you are, all your wealth will one day turn into useless rock. All you have to do is to use less plastic bag, turn down the air conditioner a little, classifying the rubbish for recycles, quit smoking and love our Earth. Hope you will enjoy the song.
