5th May 2013 (一小時沖印 – Edmond Leung)

The song that I chose for today is “一小時沖印” by Edmond Leung. I really like this song when it first came out and I still do today. The direct English translation of the title is “1hr photo printing”.

The lyrics of the song are about a love story. The protagonist was looking at some photos, he saw a photo of a girl taken in a party and she seems to be very happy in the photo. He notice that she always stand next to a guy wearing a blue shirt. The next photo he saw was a side shoot of the guy and the one after was a shoot taken when the guy just wake up. He said that she have to be so in love with this guy, otherwise she wouldn’t be printing out all these photos that doesn’t have her in it. He said that so many of her memories were of the other people, why she doesn’t take a photo of herself to when she cry. There is a photo of a house, a photo of some mountain view; day by day, this girl drop off this negative at the protagonist photo shop and pick them up afterward. Slowly, the protagonist realised that she had been printed into his heart. The protagonist said that she must be very happy that she could be crazy about her boyfriend and there must be many more photos to print. Likewise, he asked himself whether he is really happy to love this girl even he will never meet her elsewhere apart from the print shop. He said he got lot of her memories, but it’s just that he can’t keep them. He will stay in this print shop to witness their wedding. Hope you will enjoy the song.
