The song that I chose for today is “愛深過做人” by Janice Vidal. This is one of the songs that I like by Janice. The direct English translation of the title is “Love is harder than life”.

The lyrics of this song are about love. The lyrics tell us about the definition of love to the protagonist. The protagonist said that at the beginning, love to her is very simple. All she needed was a partner, it doesn’t matter what they do, even watching rain was happy. She thought that love was like traveling. They talked about everything, and she has fallen deeply in love with the guy. But she didn’t notice that this bored the guy away from her. Once when she got used to breaking up, she gave everything in every of her relationship. She thought that even the love might not last, but she was happy that she once had fallen in love with these guys. But one day when it rain, no one was looking after her, she felt very sad, and she realised that all this failure was because she can’t afford to love. She realised that love is harder than life; she just can’t learn to forgive. She found it so hard to get a balance between trust, suspicious, rational and inductive. The worse is that it doesn’t matter you love others or not, loving yourself still hurt. She don’t want to recognise that two people need to act in order to be together. She questioned why love is like a game that challenges our intelligent. She remembers that she was once so naïve that she all she wanted from love was just to feel happy. Hope you will like the song.
