The
song for today is “傻女的新衣” by Priscilla Chan. The lyrics
of this song is a continuation of the story of the song from yesterday (i.e. “傻女”).
“傻女”
was from 1988, while this one was released in 2003. The melody of the two songs
are the same, both are the adaptation of María Conchita Alonso’s “La Loca”. The
direct English translation of the title is “Silly girl’s new clothes”.
The
lyrics of the song are about love, talking about how the protagonist still
thinks of her ex-boyfriend through his wool jumper. It said, tonight, she saw
her boyfriend felt a bit cold, all thanks to her ex-boyfriend, she can borrowed
the wool jumper to her boyfriend. She doesn’t have the strength to talk about
the past, but she understands what’s call fate. When her boyfriend put on her
ex’s jacket, he looks like him, he could replace her ex. He gave her happiness,
but her ex only treat her as a backup. The wool jumper wouldn’t care that her
ex was it owner, so she felt that she could also belong to someone else. As her
ex could become anyone’s lover, he could also act on behalf of her ex. Although
memories always last long, but the painful love didn’t leave any scare behind. In
the past, she did a lot of thing for her ex and it was touching, but no matter
how silly she is now, she will not go back to that flaw. That night she saw her
ex fallen in sleep, she hater herself for not being able to touch him. So she
could only stole her ex’s jumper to compensate the fact that she couldn’t get
him. Comparing him to her ex, she understand what’s call happiness. That jumper
doesn’t match with her ex, as her boyfriend could ware it better. He is much
