The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist asked why his girlfriend needs to leave early; it is just like exploding a sand mountain. All of a sudden, that building disappeared on earth. He wonders who would challenge him. He would fight will all those challenger and challenge them for life. How to avenge on the people and things that have past; to win back all that he own? You know, she still sees his challenger as her lover, the centre of the world. No matter how she sees him, he is not as good as his challenger. No matter how hard he tried, he is always second. But he never lost his spirit, so he wouldn’t ask her to give him first place. No matter how much he hates this situation, he couldn’t change it. Both of them were at the same level, but why he has to fight to gain her trust? Looking at the dirt, he starting to lose his self-esteem, no matter how hard he try, he will always be a backup. The song that I chose for today is “假如” by Teresa Carpio (杜麗莎). This song is one of Teresa’s classic. Teresa is a Chinese- Filipino mix, she was quite famous in the 60’s through to 80's. These days, she teaches singing, many of her students are big star in Hong Kong, including Sammi Cheung (note that she went to Teresa to improve her singing skill during her career. The direct English translation of the song title is “If”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that if her boyfriend wanted to break up with her, or if he really wanted to breakup, please wipe all her happy memories, that way it could avoid her from pain. If he really wants her to breakup with him, please don’t let her know. If her eyes are all dried without tears, could he please not leave her alone. All she hopes for is to keep him in her heart. The love that left behind and that protection from love. Please let her hope that in the future, he will understand her pain. The song that I chose for today is “花落誰家” by Hacken Lee. The direct English translation of the title is “Which house will the flower land”.

The lyrics of the song are about our environment and city development. It said, below the tower is a piece of grass land, but now it already become a petrol station. The pair of parrot standing on the tower has already departed separated. The city below the tower is so busy, so busy that it doesn’t know how to feel sad. Petal got blow away, and no one noticed and no one care. Someone said that to get rich, you need to build, so build an 80 stories tower. Someone said that to live on, you need to change, but it had changed so much that fairy tales no longer exist. Someone said that in order to move on, we have to scarify the spoonbills. Its face, have already fossilised our brain. When cherry flower were forced to move to the moon, we should realised that we didn’t treasured our world enough. Who feels guilty when we have buried the daisy to exchange our busy city? We let the light to shine our world, but limited the garden space. It is cold this August, say good bye to the hot summer. We feel the heat wave on Christmas Eve, even we enjoyed the Christmas lighting. If it snow that night, would you worry? When cherry flower were forced to move to the moon, we should realised that we didn’t treasured our world enough. The fireworks brighten the sky, we can see layers of clouds. We clear out the forest and cut the woods; flower blossom and die out to a point that we can help. When we finally got it, perhaps everything else would be rare. But why that she feels guilty even she didn’t lie. She thought that she had healed from her wound from yesterday. Even if it didn’t heal, she will pretend to be strong, so strong that she will hide her sexiness. She thought she is so well at pretending to be happy, but why she is worry to return home to face the four walls. So the peacefulness is just an appetizer, who would want to listen to someone else talking about their pain. She wouldn’t be crying as bad as a kid. But she had put love into it, so she doesn’t know how to pretend that it doesn’t hurt. The photos that they took together, perhaps she had torn them in half already. Dinner, entertainment, she play until midnight. She tried her headrest to fill up every second of her day. She is calm, but suddenly the shop played that song. I have been very busy yesterday, so didn’t manage to write a post. This one is filling in for yesterday, the one for today will be posted later tonight. Alright, the song for yesterday is “雨中感嘆號” by Aaron Kwok. This is the Chinese cover version of “Tell by your eyes” by Mr. Zivago. There is also a Japanese cover by田原俊彦, called “雨が叫んでる”. The direct English translation of the Chinese cover is “Exclamation mark in the rain”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that the heavy rain outside is slashing on the window and the road outside. This reminds him about the night that they spent together. He picked up his umbrella, and rush out wanting to talk to her face to face. He wanted to say sorry to her as he felt that he was too selfish. He was silly, and he wanted to make up for it today. He hopes that he will see her again on the street. Whether they have fate to meet again is like question mark. In the rain lonely night, he dances lonelily. He wanted to find her, but all he found is a pile of exclamation marks. He just wants her to know his loves towards her had never changed, but too bad there is no one that he could talk to. These are regrets that he can’t say out loud, but why they are like a blade, it makes him wanted to tell the truth, but she will never know. The song for today is “Wanna Be” by Eman Lam. Eman is a member of at17, but currently both members are taking their own music path. I think currently they just want a break from their partnership, and work on the music that interested them the most. This song was from 2012, the first solo album by Eman.

The lyrics of the song are about life. The protagonist said that sometime she is a bit careless. Occasionally she wanted to look good. You, please follow her to make big changes. Every month would work on some small experiment. Getting by her time like this, she likes herself more than her life. It is best if she could like herself more. When she is touched, she will start. Wanna be your love, sometime, wanna be alone, sometime wanted to sleep alone. So becoming the biggest star, all you need is simply get the most normal curve (I guess it is referring to body curve here). The song for today is “回憶的沙漏” by G.E.M. Personally, I don’t like G.E.M. that much as I think she is like to show off. But I have to admit that she sing quite well. This song was from her first album. The direct English translation of the title is “Memory hourglass”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. It said puzzle is falling piece by piece, just like the coldness of maple leafs. The clock on the wall, slowly counting loneliness. The nice smell of the coffee floated away, and it left the bitterness with her. Her memories, buried her weakness in the dark night. Limitless firmament, a sky full of star signs. The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that people are always not happy with her performance and she realised that it is because she is naïve. She understands his motive, that he has to treat her like a kid. He make her feel the coolness of the world, let the snow cut her lips to remember the pain and he only watched on the side. She thanks him, as he ruthlessly pushes her down so that she can learn how to fall and how to walk. If she has been treated very well for her life, she wouldn’t understand the beauty of peace and it wouldn’t be good for her. For her good, he has to leave, so that she could understand that no one could be happy if they live in a greenhouse. The song for today is “慾望野獸街” by Anita Mui. This song was produced in the early 90’s, it is the Cantonese cover version of a Japanese song call “ジャングル Jungle” by 田原俊彥. The direct English translation of the title is “Desire Wild Beast Street”.

The lyrics are rather simple. It said night turn bad again, and the skinny waist wanted to dance. Her desire tells her to be bad and she doesn’t want to be nice anymore. The song for today is “說一句” by Shiga Lin. This song is requested by a fellow follower of this blog. This is a relatively new song, which came out last year. The official English title of the song is “Once said”. It is rather special that Shiga’s song always accompany with an official English name, while the official English title is not a direct compatible translation to the Chinese title, I guess it is a better match to the song and sounds more professional.

Like many other’s Shiga’s song, this one is about love. The lyrics said that the protagonist still hasn’t deleted the breakup private message. That hug that they had on the street is still remains in her heart. It doesn’t hurt, not dare to feel that it hurt. Perhaps he minds that she is full of scars. Who would want to keep repeating to love the same person? Has luck to meet, but not being able to continue, why border to keep feeling the pain? Without him today, there would be some excitement that could stop her heart from breaking. Which one will be better than him or worse than him? Does it really matter? The song that I chose for today is “郵差” by Faye Wong. This was a song from 1999. The direct English translation of the title is “Postman”. Note that this is the Cantonese version, the Mandarin version is call “蝴蝶” (meaning “Butterfly”.)

The lyrics of the song are about love. It starts by saying that snow are floating down, and they are falling down to the deep sea. Until the two legs can’t move, then she thought about leaving. The song that I chose for today is “羅曼蒂克” by Edmond Leung. This is a song from 2006. The direct English translation of the title is “Romantic”.

The lyrics of the song are about love, but it is a bit abstract. The protagonist said that love is use an atmosphere, and his love luck is not scared about atmosphere. With his lover, they are so into it that, they have already overcome language, and feel timeless. If you talk about atmosphere, then what is atmosphere? Something on your forehead? Or perhaps you could be like a couple during war time? There is no rain above our eye brows, but clouds underneath our heart to make things shaky.
