The song that I chose for today is “狠心愛我” by Gigi Leung. This was a song from 2004. The direct English translation of the title is “Love me ruthlessly”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that people are always not happy with her performance and she realised that it is because she is naïve. She understands his motive, that he has to treat her like a kid. He make her feel the coolness of the world, let the snow cut her lips to remember the pain and he only watched on the side. She thanks him, as he ruthlessly pushes her down so that she can learn how to fall and how to walk. If she has been treated very well for her life, she wouldn’t understand the beauty of peace and it wouldn’t be good for her. For her good, he has to leave, so that she could understand that no one could be happy if they live in a greenhouse. All he left for her are tears, when she understands she will be able to achieve more. She never shows a sign of anger, and that she will never dream that he will stay for her. Tomorrow, she will think that losing him will cost her a great deal. Told her off is the best, and hurting her is even better. He let her feel the coolness of the world, she wishes that he could be well in the future. She wishes that he could see her reform. Hope you will like the song.
