The song for today is “小白” by Pakho Chau. This is a new song from Pakho’s newest album. The direct English translation of the title is “Little white”. The title “小白” is actually a generic name that have been used a lot to refer to pet dog.

The lyrics of the song are about the relationship between the protagonist and his pet dog. He said: “That day, at home, a strange heart start beating. Lightly shake its tail, child dream. High and low, jump, no need to explain but it taught me how to loosen my burden. Hide its claw that it was born with and gave me warm. Depress and worried but still together to cross the cold night. The song for today is “今天應該很快樂” by Pakho Chau. The direct English translation og the title is “Today I should be happy”.

The lyrics of the song are the protagonist doesn’t feel happy even though he got an award and so many people are celebrating with him. It said, today he should be happy as he saw her being very happy, cheering for him. Set up a party for him, cheered, like he got to be proud. It is rare that he got an award, but does it mean that it could also got him success? Would it take him to find his dream for the whole life or will he be trying to search for his direction? So many training, just to tell the world that he could. But all he see is a burry future, too much to consider, spinning in the wind. If all those people that didn’t believe in him aren’t all disappointed, then even achieving this award couldn’t call success. Calling his name loudly, will make him happy. Calling his name loudly, will make him feel proud. When he is lost, please transport him away from the people. Calling his name loudly would remind him. The song for today is “Smiley Face” by Pakho Chau. This song is a few years old, it was quite popular when it was released.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist is falling in love with his friend, but his friend hasn’t realised about it and she even asked him to try to help her better understand the guy that she is interested in. It said, when she cry, the time stopped. He tried to make her smile so he winks at her. After happiness, she will always forget about that and will talk about the guy that she is interested again. From her body language, he can tell that she even wanted him to help her out to better understand the guy that she is interested in. He didn’t know how to react, so he just gives her a smiley face. But he is worry that she will be sad, so slightly lift his mouth and be passionate. It doesn’t matter if she forgets him. When she loosens her hand, he will hold it back, all because she is the reason why he is happy. He never cares how far or close they are, he never wanted to steal a kiss from her. He just wanted to be able to give her heat when she is cold. It doesn’t matter if she forgets him. He will wait even if that he will never get it. If it is fate that all this is a joke, he wouldn’t be angry. On his side, he will try to be smiley every day. When she feel painful, she can hug him and she might realised that they are a perfect match. It is hard to control the ending, as he already knows that it is impossible. The song that I chose for today is “無力挽回” by Pakho Chau. The official English translation of the title is “Irreversible”.

The lyrics of the song are about letting go. The lyrics are a bit abstract, and I personally don’t fully understand it all, but hopefully this translation will help you to better understand the song. The protagonist said that he keep playing the same song over and over again, and he is about to cry. The bottle of wine was dried up when he half fallen to sleep. He is so sad that he felt very tired. Her last words are full of flowers, covering fear. There is a her that die from memory, and his wounds are treated as toy by her. Stay in the past, he chased everything that he could. Stopping there, that place make her more empty, but for some reason she wanted to be there. If it is irreversible, the he need to know how to let go. A person that pass away could not be own. You can still learn about treasuring other in the future. If someone is still living you, please don’t hurt them. For her, he already forgot about revenging. He felt sorry for her parents that they have lost the only thing that they got. He feels weak as he can’t rewind time, but please don’t feel bad. Perhaps occasionally being sad is called romance. He starting to hate the world that he wanted to slap someone. He doesn’t want to watch her rot. It is too late, his crying sound is not dramatic enough. The things have passed, so please don’t try to avoid it. The song that I chose for today is “宏願” by Pakho Chau. The direct English translation of the title is “Great aspirations”.

The lyrics of the song are about keep loving even the chances are slim. The protagonist said that he knows the reality could be cruel, but he still needs to face it. He wishes that she could turn her head and look at him, but in some ways that will be more painful. The clock, that was once a gift, is still running, it remain them that many minutes have past. HE knows that thinking about their past would not give him any courage; but if he needs to let her go, it is as hard as walking through a desert. So why not just think in a naive way and think that they will be together again one day; that way the last thousand days without her is just a short break for their relationship. If at the end all he got is sadness, he is still willing to accept it. If he could turn time back, he wouldn’t be scare to face the sadness again. If he could share his feelings, he is not worry to get dump again. His great aspiration is so great that it cover the smallest thing, something like watching a movie with her again. If she leaves just because their personality is mismatch, then he is willing to let her chose his personality. If miracle only happens once per life time, then please let him have that warn feeling again for tonight. If he saw her head back from a far distance, then they are actually very close. The song that I chose for today is “放過自己” by Pakho Chau. This is a new song by Pakho. I didn’t like Pakho too much as I thought he was one of those that sell his looks, but his recent songs seems to be quite ok, so I guess I shouldn’t prejudge him. The direct English translation of the title is “Let ourselves go”.

At the beginning of the song, the protagonist told us that one of his closest friends just betrayed him and he accepted it without saying a word. That person said something mean to him that gave him pain. He thinks that his view is very narrow because of his lack of knowledge. There are too much sadness in him and he got no way of expressing it. He felt that he is childish, he is extreme, but yet weak. He has been suffering from disappointment for a long time and he wonders when he would accept his fate. So he tried to change is view. The more he care, the more he need to let go. The more he scare, he more he needs to face the problem. This team mate gave him up, but the team mate move away from him. That enemy said that he is good, but he knows that not what the enemy think. He spent a life time on learning how to deal with others, and he started to accept people laughing at him. He had turn into a master of pain, he is not scare even watching scary movies. The surrounding people could be blaming him, but he doesn’t care about them now, he let them go and wipe off the bad memories. Every person, no matter what they did to him, he still see them as team mate.

I quite like the lyrics of the song. To a certain degree it is so truth. We hate people because of something that they did to us. But those people don’t feel anything, while we get sad. So why don’t we let it go, the more that we care the bigger the need we should let it go. Hope you will like the song.
