The
song for today is “千秋” by Sita Chan. The title of this song played with words.
It pronounced the same as “鞦韆”, meaning swing (as in those in a
park). But the direct meaning with the word is “Thousand autumn”, though in
Chinese this phase also means “a long time”.
The
lyrics of the song are about a love story that deals with swing, seasons and
time. The protagonist said: “At a park absorbing the sunlight that was handed
out by the sky. The cool wind breath out the smell of autumn. Every year I got
attracted to every fallen leaves. As usual I stay to think of that goodbye.
Back then the simple pair just want to see each other. No need to wear more,
just hug each other to be warmer. Escape the busyness and just to seat together
to watch the sunset. But who could have escape the change of season? Day by day
and finally meet autumn again. Bit by bit thought of it again, and slowly sit
onto the swing. That year we meet there, that year our face touches each other.
Only thinking could spend me half a day. Meet the high and low scenery and it
bought me back to that day. One by one the old shop got demolished. These years
still haven’t learnt to accept them calmly. A bit of cold, triggered yearn.
Back then I make a scarf for you. With a light cold, I make some congee for
you. The world outside the love wall is huge, but I still wish that we could be
forever together even when we grew up. Day by day and finally meet autumn
again. Bit by bit thought of it again, and slowly sit onto the swing. Perhaps
we have gone our separate ways, but memories remained unchanged. A long time
had passed, but it is still like yesterday. These up and down scenery once
again started to be burry again. The sky started to turn dark, so perhaps it is
time for people to go home. The beautiful scene slowed down, no matter what you
do you can’t change it. Without you behind the swing, it once again stopped at
autumn.” Hope you will like the song.
