23rd Sep 2015 (人生馬拉松 – Eason Chan)

The song for today is “人生馬拉松” by Eason Chan. This is the theme song for the twentieth anniversary of “Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon”. The direct English translation of the title is “Life marathon”.

The lyrics of the song are about not giving up. The protagonist said: “From half a time to a hundred times, trying day by day. With courage and will, giving up is too easy. Addicted or too naïve, it really doesn’t matter. Wish that at the end I would understand the meaning of training. Every time I wanted to give up, I felt that I heard someone is laughing behind my back.  They laugh that I was only half a second away but I lost at the end. All the energy had used up long ago, but using the will power, I could see the magic. A skinny body, a pair of tired legs. Used up all the strength to chase. A mouth full of water a and some old words, floated into me, calmed me down and helped me to fight my fear. From the high mountain, deep sea, happiness and sadness. The excitement from the journey, can never dodge away from the hurdle. Time and space changes, can only let go and wait. Should or shouldn’t, good or no good, all it matters is that I love it. Perhaps the world had changed, only cared about the ending. Everyone knows how to run and jump, but skipped the hard working part. Someone is competing with someone else, but it is all wrong. Couldn’t accept being ignored, but wish that fate will take care of you. Unlimited number of race, a wave after a wave. Who could avoid, the tiny bit of accident. Time and space changes, can only let go and wait. Should or shouldn’t, good or no good, all it matters is that I love it.” Hope you will enjoy the song.

As for my job, so far I am doing ok I guess :D Not much to do at work at the moment, though due to long driving time and me trying to avoid traffic, I have to wake up very early. This had made me really tired in the past few weeks as I only sleep for 5-6 hours per night. But now I am starting to get used to it (just need to recharge through the weekend :p ), hence why I am now starting to write posts more frequently. Although I don't think I can go back to a post per day, but I should be able to do a post around once every two days :)

    2. Sorry to hear about your 5-6 hours of sleep, that must be tough to not operate on full nights sleep. Happy to see that you have been posting more frequently!

    3. Hahaha, yes, I go to work like a zombie every morning. On the bright side though, it fixed my body clock. I used to sleep at like 2-3am and wake up like 10-11am, now at least I am getting a healthier life style.
