The song that I chose for today is “閃著淚光慢慢的決定” by Sugar Club (糖兄妹). This song is a slow tempo version of Pace Wu (吳佩慈) “閃著淚光的決定”. It is quite clearly stated in the title that it is the slow tempo version as it got “慢慢” in the title compare to the original, and these words mean slowly. Personally I like Sugar Club version better as they seems to better present the feeling of the song. Note that “閃著淚光決定” is the Chinese cover version of a Japanese song “Tomorrow” by Okamoto Mayo (岡本真夜). The direct English translation of “閃著淚光慢慢的決定” is “Slowly make a decision when crying”.

The lyrics of the song are about letting go our love one. The protagonist asked whether we understand the feeling of empty heart. She said that it had been long she felt like a falling leaf (I guess that’s mean the feeling of dead, as falling leafs are dead leaf). Her ex-boyfriend said something tender to her, which she well know that it is a lie, but somehow she felt that she had calm down and felt more comfortable. She once promised that she will be with him always and together every day. She thought that she will give him more freedom and it will broaden their love. But now it seems that no one care nor seems to be able to see her cry with a fake smile. So she decided to turn away from him, taking big steps to move away from him. She said she will not turn back and forever forget about him. She don’t let herself to cry, and she hate that she got the courage to fall in love but don’t have the courage to turn away. She can’t seem to forget her first love. She wishes her tears could wash away her memory of this relationship. I have linked all three versions below, hope you will like them all.
