The song that I chose for today is “我們的故事” by Janice Vidal. This song is recorded in her latest album. I got her album around two months ago, but didn’t have much time to listen to all the tracks until today when I went out for a long drive and heard this song. This is not a song that they sent to the radio station, so that’s why I haven’t paid much attention to it until today. The direct English translation of the title is “Our story”.

Like many of my other songs that I chose on this blog, this song is about a love story. The lyrics start off by the protagonist tell us that every time she went to watch a movie with her boyfriend, she worry that when she laugh she will found her boyfriend fallen into sleep. But when it’s the time that she cries, she found that her boyfriend will hold her hand unintentionally. So when she wanted a hug, she would found an excuse, she will just give him a hug. Every time they went out for dinner, she worry that she have to teach him table manner, but when the cold wind start to blow, he will take down his jacket and gave it to her. So if he wanted to kiss her, there is no need for him to find an excuse. There is no one like him that could hold on to her the same way. His hand is now holding onto a ring, speaking of a promise that he have been looking forward to. He said he will give her a happy face for life, her tears is already dripping down from her eyes and all they know is to hug each other. It is a very sweet song, I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.
