The song that I chose for today is “我代你哭” by Ronald Cheng. This so was very popular when it came out. From memory, it was a theme song of a movie. The direct English translation of the title is “I will cry for you”.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist wanting his girlfriend to fall in love with another guy, as he think that others would provide a better protection to her. It start off saying that he wishes that his girlfriend could found a few more guys to love fall in love with even he might get worry. He wanted her not to give out so much but rather try to protect herself first. They had been together, so he knows her that when she get hurt, she will feel that she is being loved more. He haven’t thanks her yet for all the things that she gave to him. He wishes that he could have the luck to return the favour to her. If the boyfriend that she will know doesn’t know how to protect her, he wish that he could cry for her instead of her getting hurt. He said that if they can’t be together, being friends is still alright, and if she feels unhappy, he is willingly to take all her unhappiness just to thanks her for once loving him.
