The
song that I chose for today is “容易受傷的女人” by Faye Wong. This is one of
Faye’s classic. There are two version of this song, one is the Cantonese
version and the other is the Mandarin version. I will only focus on the
Cantonese version here today. The direct English translation of the title is “A
woman that easily gets hurt”.
The
lyrics of the song area bout love. The protagonist said that it is getting
darker and she is getting more drunk. She feels that they are getting closer
now. Her thought are ambiguous and getting more contradictory. Her heart had
been broken before, and now she is letting him to get closer; she feels that
comfort and questioning are slowly growing in her heart. It is hard for her to
hold her feelings now, she knew that she is the type that could easily get
hurt. So please don’t come and go, please treasure her heart. If you understand
her, then please keep loving this easily hurt woman; don’t wait, just kiss.
Having him beside her, she finally found trust; even everything might have been
questionable, but being happy means that they are a couple. She was worried
about her life, but lucky that he can get closer; from there she knows that her
life contain love and helped her to build her confident. Her heart had been
broken before, and now she is letting him to get closer; she feels that comfort
and questioning are slowly growing in her heart. . It is hard for her to hold
her feelings now, she knew that she is the type that could easily get hurt. So
