The
song that I chose for today is “如夢初醒” by Cass Pang. This is one of
Cass classics. The direct English translation of the title is “Like waking up
from a dream”.
The
lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that this person was
once her important someone, he was with her to travel in her life journey. The
road was difficult and unclear, but she wanted to see what will happen. When he
was with her, it was hard to describe her feelings, it wasn’t just happiness.
She once made a rush decision for her boyfriend. When she realised it, circumstances
have changed. They both put something in for their relationship, but this
journey is already a one-way trip. When they
meet again, she doesn’t know how to react. Who would determine what will happen
next. Then she pretends to be calm, and take on this unchangeable ending. She felt
that as if she has just wakened up from a dream, she felt that she shouldn’t
