The song for today is “某年仲夏” by Gigi Leung. This song was quite popular back in 1996. The direct English translation of the title is “Some year summer”.

This song is about friendship. The lyrics said that the protagonist is thinking about a past summer, the sun and the sand were surrounding her. She was with her friends during this summer holiday and they were so happy. They put down all their work, and cheat about anything. No matter they go, they go together. The summer holiday has past, but when she think about it she still smile. Even though it get further away every second, but the summer holiday still live in her heart and shine. Once upon a summer time, she wishes that her friends could come back to enjoy the time again, talk about the different things that had happened and never say goodbye again. Thinking about that past summer, they eat ice kachang and ice cream together. They eat and gain so much weight, and joke on getting diet.
