The
song for today is “懷著笑意的決定” by Pace Wu. This song is the
Cantonese version of “閃著淚光的決定” which I talked about
previously. This is the version that I grew up with. The direct English
translation of the title is “Make decision while smiling”.
The
lyrics of the song are similar to it Mandarin counterpart in the sense that
they both describe a girl trying to forget about her love story with her
boyfriend as they are about to breakup, but this Cantonese version is much more
positive. The protagonist said, it is not allow to show any sign of sadness,
then get jealous over him. Couldn’t love him, but still love beauty. Wishes
that he is in deep love. Not allow to remember the time when she couldn’t sleep,
then she would be able to travel anywhere. Remember where she watches movie at
the age of three, but not allow herself to remember about him. Closing her eyes
