The song for today is “生命有價” by Linda Wong (王馨平).
This is a very old song, one from my childhood. It suddenly popped up in my
head the other day. I never really pay attention to the lyrics, but after
singing it a few times that day, I found the lyrics are very meaningful, so I thought
I will share it here. The English translation of the title is “Life have a value”.
The lyrics of the song are about life and how we should be
positive. It said: “Quickly, through away the sad eyes, the sad face and the
sad emotions. Find back your smiling face and sing along can you? La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Clap together as life have value. From the time when we make the wa-wa-wa
noise, we opened our eyes and saw the world. From the time when we have learned
to hold mum’s warm hands. To the time when we non-stop make the e-e-wa-wa noise,
from crawling to the time when we know how to run. From the time we put on our
school bag to absorb the knowledge and worry about nothing. From the time you and
her started to hold hands, to the time when you have been through happiness,
sadness and pain. Being alive is so amazing, how could we see it through. Wish
that sometime there would be some accident in life. When that come, don’t be afraid
or be lost, just remembered that it have unlimited colours and unlimited love.
Wish that you can use your self-esteem to get over the hurdle.” Hope you will
like the song.
