26th Nov 2013 (放棄愛情 – Juno Mak)

The song that I chose for today is “放棄愛情” by Juno Mak. The direct English translation of the title is “give up love”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that he put her photo next to his pillow. In his eyes, she is getting discolour. His old memories are being replay in his heart and tears coming out from his eyes. He felt that he is stupid, waiting for her behind his enemy back. She didn’t care about him, but he felt that looking at her shadow is enough. It is not too late to give up love, he can pretend to be happy at night. He just wishes that he can use his limited time to ensure that she and her boyfriend’s love could last forever. He just blames his body clock running too slow, can’t get him in love but yet still believe in love. He take away his imagination of falling in love, and he think that he will get used to looking at the two of them smile. He still have feeling toward her, and her smiley face is still in his head. But he knows that he can no longer hold her hand as she had finally meet up with another person. Hope you will like the song.
