The
song that I chose for today is “雨中的戀人們” by Christopher Wong. This is
Christopher’s classic song. To be honest, all these time I thought this song
was sung by a different person, until yesterday I heard it on the radio and was
shock to realise that it was sing by Christopher. The direct English translation
of the title is “The couple in the rain”. This song is the Chinese cover
version of the Japanese song “恋人も濡れる街角” by Masatoshi Nakamura (中村雅俊)
The
lyrics are about love. The protagonist said that with the lost dream, he looks
at the couple in the rain, saying good bye to each other. That coldness after
the rain, he felt that it is the same from that day. That lonely wind is still
full of emotions. The lovely memories from that day are still dancing in his
heart. He walks around the street in the rainy day, many cars passed by. That
fallen umbrella is like a tired face. He found himself still hurt from the fact
that he had been forgotten. He wishes the rain could wet his dream. The sun seems
to understand his sadness, so it shine on him after the rain and gave him
warmness. He wonders whether he will meet her again here, bring away his loneliness
and give him a warm hug. Seeing the back of a couple being him back the
memories when they meet. But now their relationship is washed away by the rain,
so let the love blow away by the wind. Hope you will like the song. I have also
linked the original Japanese version for comparison.
