5th Aug 2012 (默哀 – Gin Lee)

The song that I chose for today is “默哀” by Gin Lee. This song is very new, it is in the same album as “Falling”. The album only came out around a week ago. I personally quite like this song. I am surprise that this song isn’t the first song that they advertise with for the album. This song surely got all the hit elements in it, and I think eventually this will become a big hit. The direct translation of the title is “Silence”, not as in keep quiet, but as in a minute of silence in a funeral.

This song is about letting go. In the lyrics, the protagonist was angry that she broke up with her boyfriend (probably because her boyfriend cheated on her).  She wanted to yell at him, but she didn’t. She don’t know how to release her anger. Slowly, she realised that feeling angry means that she still got feeling toward her boyfriend. So in order to really let go of this relationship, she shouldn’t even feel angry. At the end of the song she achieved this. The song itself is that very special, but it surely got all the hit elements in it. I hope you will enjoy this song.
