The song that I chose for today is “黃色大門” by Joey Yung. This song came out in 2006. Back then I have no idea what the lyrics was about (even today, I still don’t fully understand the lyrics) but the melody and the way Joey sing this song make it very attractive. Many people said that this song correspond to Hocc’s “紅屋頂” (meaning “red roof”, this song came out in 2007), as the lyrics and the style of the song are very similar. Most of all both songs were written by the same song writer and the lyrics were written by the same guy as well. The direct English translation of the title is “Yellow door”.

While the lyrics sounds like a fairy tale, it is a lot deeper and darker than that. I think the lyrics are about a girl who like to think and dreams about different things. But as she grow up, she realised that other people will see these ideas as something weird, so she keep this secretly in her heart, but she wish one day she can tell her love one about all these.
