The
song that I chose for today is “愛她因為愛你” by Eric Suen. This song was
from a few years ago, it is one of the few song from Eric that I actually like
from recent years. The direct English translation of the title is “Love her
because I love you”.
The
lyrics of the song are about love. At the beginning, the protagonist said that
after they breakup, he meet a person that can finally win his heart and forget
the pain that he had, he thought. But his new girlfriend’s smiling face and laughter
looks and sounds so much like her. At that time he didn’t realise that. He now
feels that his new girlfriend is acting as her substitute without name. To him
now, his new girlfriend feels likes a friend, her voice still carry that
happiness and she still willing to sacrifice. He likes her because she is nice,
and just like his previous girlfriend, she is also a flight attendant. He feels
that kissing his new girlfriend is like kissing his previous girlfriend. Thanks
to the similar smiling face and laughter, he feels that he is still with his
previous girlfriend. Because of their similarity, he feels that when he hugs
her, he is hugging his previous girlfriend and forgot that his previous
girlfriend had already passed away. He realised that the person he love should
also feel lucky, lucky for they happiness could last forever. His new girlfriend
feels likes a friend, but they are so similar. HE can’t distinguish between
them anymore. He loves her because he is generous, but really, no one could
replace his previous girlfriend. Whatever he love is all because of her. Hope
