The song
that I chose for today is “你知道我在等你嗎” by Jeremy Chang (張洪量).
Jeremy was very famous in the 90’s, at the time when Taiwanese singers were
popular in Asia. This song is one of his most popular songs. The direct English
translation was “Do you know I was waiting for you”.
The
lyrics are very simple and they are about love. It begins with the protagonist
telling us that he love this girl. There is no reason why he love her, he just
does. He loves her since the day he first saw her. He asked whether she knows
he is waiting for her. If she really cared for him, she wouldn’t have let him go
through so many lonely nights nor let the flowers in his hand got blow away by
the wind. But he just loves her no matter what, so he just listen to her voice
in the dark. Hope you will like the song.
