28th Sep 2013 (XBF – Fiona Sit)

The song that I chose for today is “XBF” by Fiona Sit. The title is really the shorten form of “ex-boyfriend”. This song is quite old, it came out in 2004, so almost 10 years.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist told us that she never thought her ex-boyfriend was her first one, but she is most worry that he will become her next ex-boyfriend. But right now, she is officially with him. She wishes that he would be the list one on her breakup list as she doesn’t want to be breakup again. But really, it was because she broke up with her last boyfriend to give her the chance to meet him. Back then she thought she know how to love him. She wishes that the one she love the most would be her last one. Even at the end of their relationship, she never thought of giving up, but she was dumped but him, the person that becomes her ex-boyfriend. She got no excuse to stop him from leaving, she know from the beginning that if she got a chance to hold hands with him, one day they will breakup. But at the end, when she counts her ex-boyfriend, she feels that she would be happy even if he were just with her for a short time. She thinks that if meeting him was luck, then perhaps she had used up all her luck already. As she kissed him, she doesn’t know how to hate him; he is the one that loves her the most across all her ex-boyfriends. Hope you will like the song.
